STAY AWAY FROM THIS SURGEON. HE RUINED MY CAREER AND MY LIFE. HE KNEW AS SOON AS MY HIP REPLACEMENT WAS DONE THAT IT WAS NOT DONE CORRECTLY. HE DID NOTHING TO CORRECT THE MISTAKE. I LOST MY JOB, MY INCOME AS A RN, AND AM IN CONSTANT PAIN. IF I COULD RATE HIM WITH NO STARS, I WOULD.

In this day and age it is hard to find a doctor who takes the time to listen and then explain things in a way most people can understand, but Dr. P is willing to do that. He is straight forward and doesn't use a PA to rush patients through his office. I would highly recommend.

Dr. Piccione did a total hip replacement on me that was COMPLETELY botched. I kept telling him something was wrong and he kept brushing it off. I finally ended up going to an Orthopedic Surgeon in Christiana three months after the original surgery, who took ONE x-ray and immediately identified how bad it really was. This was on a Thursday, and the surgeon wanted me in the OR to revise it 5 days later. I had no insurance to cover a revision because I couldn't return to work and I lost my job. I spent two years in excruciating pain, barely able to walk and finally had a revision in another state. By then, it was damaged beyond repair, and I could not work for over a year. He quite effectively ruined my career AND my life. I fail to understand why he has such good ratings when he is such a horrible "Doctor". I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to him.
