Dr. Lawrence Chess Schweitzer, MD

Dr. Schweitzer has performed 4 knee surgeries on me, including 3 knee replacements. I don;t have 3 knees, just had a partial knee implant changed to a total knee which was needed at the time of my original surgery. Dr. Schweitzer is always open to discuss things with me. He is conservative about surgery, looking for alternatives before scheduling any surgery. He spends a lot of time with me during an appointment, which he probably does with every patient which is why his appointments are always late.

I was involved in a head-on auto accident. Dr. Schweitzer was my surgeon. I understand from my family that he was incredibly positive and always available for questions. My personal dealings were always very upbeat and optimistic and he always had the time to answer any and all questions I had. When I left the state, two years afteward, I always thought I would go back to him for any future work required on my knees. I still feel that way, he was an outstanding Doctor and I would trust him and his opinions highly!
