Dr. Lawson F Bernstein, MD

Gave intentional false diagnosis in a so called "independent" medical evaluation in workers comp case. A liar, con man, ruins people's lives just so workers comp department will keep using him as go to hit man. (Many attorneys have even acknowledged that fact, but none have the backbone to do anything about him.) Bernstein dressed like a mafia man, black shirt & pants. Arrogant, scheming, narcissistic, should be in jail for malpractice with intent to do harm. Falsely diagnosed plaintiff (me) with multiple personality disorders; claimed plaintiff did not suffer from PTSD, which is completely false. A later evaluation by a more competent, trustworthy & knowledgeable clinical psychologist gave a correct diagnosis, which was completely contrary to Bernstein's fraudulent & ridiculous "verdict." She even called him out as a fraud after reading his court deposition, angrily stating that he showed complete betrayal to the Hippocratic Oath to first do no harm. She is now editing a book I wrote… about my life changing experience. I only spoke with Bernstein once for not even an hour. She, on the other hand, counseled me for more than two years, once a week with one hour sessions. Of course, my workers comp claim was denied & dismissed based almost entirely on Bernstein's criminal deposition. The judge gave a scathing description of me in his written findings. That was about 12 years ago. I filed an appeal which was also denied. I started filing an appeal to the Pennsylvania Court, but had to give up as trauma symptoms increased. For years after that I could barely function. My PTSD symptoms to this day are severe & chronic. Cannot even give Bernstein a one-star-poor rating, but is required to file this complaint. He's worse than poor. Without any sense of shame he utterly ruined my life with his over the top disparaging remarks, adding input that was not even asked of him just to make his evaluation as demeaning as he possibly could. His personal oath: first do harm. No conscience. Pure evil without a doubt!

How sad our state board of nursing uses this quack for evaluations determining nurse's dates because he made up his mind when the person showed up in a pretty purlple matching warm up suit by Rocaware because he feels that people must dress in formal attire at all times, except for himself as he has a very sloppy and unprofessional appearance with a total disaster of an office. He evaluated this person in 2012 and rendered his "expert" (sarcastically) testimony late 2016 giving the person a multiple personality disorder diagnosis even though the same person has been with the same psych doctor for ptsd depression add/adhd and her psych expert said she has maybe saw that diagnosis one time in her 25 years of practice. He and his egotistical narcissistic sociopathic ignorant self caused a perfectly great true nurse for almost 18 years have her license suspended as a result of her own attempt to have another pill mill pain doctor removed from public for the safety against dr induced… addictions who has also lost his license in two other state's for his own addiction to fentanyl but come to pa and give him a license to continue his corrupt medical practices with highly addictive pain meds and easy access for himself to obtain his fentanyl fix! Bernstein is truly an uprofessional unempathetic in sympathetic judgemental POS and something should be done to reveal his evil practicing ways! How did he expect this person to appear to this type of evaluation when her livelihood of almost 18 years was going to be taken from her. He surely didn't think she should be cried out even though she began crying after her own complaint turned against her and our pathetic state board of nursing using such incompetent quacks as berstein to conduct their evaluations!! He is truly unfit to be a doctor and his license should be revoked but if he pays into AMA he also pays the state their wages go figure!!!

As an IME, he clearly had his mind made up ahead of time. Said he would not give feedback, but did. Very unprofessional manner and dress, crummy office. Suggested treatment, which is, in general, not evidence based.

Extremely judgemental and opinionated. Not caring at all.
