Dr. Lee Michael Bass, MD

Dismissed my daughters issues, ordered expensive tests and then never replied to phones calls and messages re: test results. Never would I recommend him to anyone. He shouldn’t even be a doctor.

The provider is uncaring and inflexible, the office staff disorganized (to the point where they don't know which doctors are in which building) and they cancel your appointment if you are fifteen minutes late -- including when your lateness is in part due to the office staff misdirecting you to the wrong building! Stay away!

Dr Bass demonstrated great care, compassion, and patience when treating my son.

Dr. Bass was not helpful in diagnosing my son's GI condition.

We really appreciated the doctor's time and attention to deal with my son's acute gastrointestinal issues. He explained everything exceedingly well and his temperament and sense of humor helped us for this difficult time. I'm glad we landed under his care.

Dr. Bass was dismissive about my child's problems with pooping. I felt as if I wasted my time and money in seeing him. Will not recommend. In fact I will suggest to our pediatrician to avoid sending patients to Dr. Bass due to such mediocre care.

Dr. Bass cracked inappropriate jokes in front of my teenage daughter and thought he was being funny which was very unprofessional. He was dismissive at best about her stomachaches and nausea which has tormented her for the past 1 year. Told her In short that that she can get better if she wants to!! Not going back to him.

We waited over a month to get an appt. to come in to see Dr. Bass. We waited 45 minutes in the waiting room. When he finally came in - He seemed rushed - Only spend about 10 minutes with us. We didn't feel he listened to our concerns. His solution was to order several test for our Daughter. When we questioned these test he seemed insulted we would question him or his recommendations. He never bothered to call us with the test results - Just brushed us off. We're not going back. We're looking for a knowledgeable caring doctor.

Very high handed and incompetent physician who glossed over important information I was giving him and misdiagnosed my son. Another pediatric gastroenterologist at University of Chicago helped us diagnose my son with allergic esophagitis.
