Dr. Lee Sadja, MD

I’ve never met a psychiatrist that caveated so frequently that psychiatry isn’t an exact science. Instead of addressing the patient’s issues and concerns in a professional manner, he backpedals, speaks vaguely and broadly about how brain chemistry works and provides about the same breadth and depth of information you would find on Wikipedia. He also wastes roughly 20% of the session typing in administrative notes on his laptop which he barley knows how to use. Also says “Well, at least we’re not drilling holes in people’s heads anymore, hardee har har”. Jokes on me with outrageous bill. Always go for a younger doctor in this field as they tend to be much more familiar with current treatments and medicines.

A wonderful doctor with a kind, non-judgmental manner. He was the first doctor to correctly identify and treat my (then) suicidal depression. I view him as my guardian angel from UCLA.

I one the best physicians (let alone psychiatrists) I have had the good fortune to come across. He is knowledgable, caring, and thorough. He exhibits a true desire to provide his patients with a greater understanding of what ails them. He is willing to go the extra mile, and not afraid of navigating uncharted waters in the field of psychiatry. He is a man of integrity, and treats his patients with respect, while doing his utmost to preserve their dignity. It is unfortunate that men of his caliber are few and far between, especially in a profession where these traits would serve the greater good.

Dr. Sadja is a wonderful doctor. I have been a patient of Dr. Sadja's for about 5 years. Have been in therapy for over 15 years total and he is the only doctor with whom I have had any break throughs. Success in therapy is a long process. Small slow steps result in long term change. You can't expect immediate results and lots of times the results are not what you thought they would be and certainly not an easy process. You can't please everyone all the time, but as long as the patient feels understood, the doctor is doing his job. I can honestly say no one really understands my issues, but Dr. Sadja helps me to understand myself and most important, TRUST myself. I would reccomend him to anyone who is serious about helping themselves.

This Dr. like some other west side psychiatrists, is truly misrepresenting his expertise. He is supposed to be able to diagnose, hospitalize and treat the patients with serious mental illness.IN MY EXPERIENCE WITH HIM, he discharged my son who was seriously suicidal too early and without making a dx.As soon as my son was discharged, he downgraded any biological and medication help and insisted that he goes 3x a week to see him. Now one and one half years has gone by, the only Change that we see is that my son has become a mortal enemy of my wife and I, he does not work or in any way communicate with us. Dr sadja is not the least interested in my son's real life and how we are suffering, he has not even interviewed my wife once to get an accurate history for proper dx. My son is just as vulnerable and suicidal as he was. It seems to me that the main therapeutic goal here is to keep my son dependent and on edge so he continues with this( therapy?). This is a misrepresentation by him… calling himself a biological psychiatrist who has a position at Ronald Reagan-UCLA medical center( classified as third best hospital in the country by u s world news). Our family and my young son's(just graduated from the best engineering school) is being destroyed and he seems to careless.

Dr. Sadja is an amazing psychiatrist. He geniunely cares about his patients and has their interests in mind. I fully recommend him to anyone in need of a good psychiatrist.
