Dr. Leesa Ann Kaufman, MD

Patient for years with no issues until today. In December 2022, I had a pre-op appointment January 13, surgery January 25, and post-op appointment February 10 all scheduled approximately 2 weeks apart. I was supposed to have a procedure at my pre-op appointment. However, nurse Terry who scheduled all my appointments called me because the Dr. Kaufman wanted to change procedures that would add 15 minutes to my surgery in lue of the one at my post op appointment. This change was made in December prior to any appointments. Fast forward, I go to my post op appointment today only to be told it was rescheduled. Excuse me? Nurse Terry comes out to tell me the changes were on my hospital paperwork & I should have received telephone reminder. The hospital packet I didn’t read except the sheet attached to outside because they already sent paperwork prior to. Additionally, in all my years when have you ever made or changed my appointment without verbal communication? Furthermore, no I haven’t… received any appointment reminder calls for an appointment that is now 2 weeks away. I explained I left work which is a commute to come to the appointment “we” scheduled. She said Dr. Kaufman needed to see me in (4) weeks for a follow up not (2) and refused to see me. I was looking forward to my appointment as I had a concern just yesterday. Then I left work right before going into overtime from a job that’s over 30 minutes away. I was so upset I know my blood pressure rose as a headache soon followed. This situation was handled poorly starting with rescheduling my appointment without communication and ended with refusing to see me and wasting my time.

I received prenatal care from Leesa Kaufman for my first 2 prenatal appointments and immediately did a transfer of care. I was charged $260 for drug analysis labs at my very first appointment that I did not consent to. They are unethically & illegally performing these tests without patient consent. We’ve reviewed Ohio laws regarding drug testing during prenatal care and this physician is breaking that law. I am not a drug user and it is unfair for me to have to pay for special labs this physician decides to have done on patients based on profiling or suspicions. Please know your rights before assuming that you have to pay for things like this during the course of your basic prenatal care. This is our second child and such tests were never performed on me before. Steer clear of this practice. They have an awkward disposition and seem to treat people poorly and profile. We survive on a teacher’s salary and should not be obligated to pay for “sneaky” tests we didn’t consent to

I have been with Dr. Kaufman for many years now and every time I go I am never disappointed in her care! She is a caring, excellent doctor who I have recommended to my family and friends.

Some of the reviewers refer to Dr Kaufman as "he." They must be confused. Dr Leesa Kaufman is a fantastic, skilled, caring professional whom I trust without question. From my first pre-op visit through complete recovery she was caring, professional, and knowledgeable. She even went so far as to visit me in the hospital after surgery. You can not due better, nor even as well, with anyone other than Dr. Kaufman.

Life Stages is a fantastic, caring organization and is made even better by the skills of Dr Kaufman. She explained everything to me before my surgery using layman's terms. The surgery went perfectly. And after the surgery Dr. Kaufman came to my room in the hospital to make sure everything was all right. Due to her skills my recovery was amazing with little pain and no complications. I can not say enough good things about Life Stages and Dr. Kaufman.

I recently switched from another OB/GYN to Dr. Kaufman because of the positive reviews I have seen on this, and other, web sites. On my first two visits I am already very impressed. She is thorough, knowledgable, caring, and professional. She is also a great listener and has a good bedside manner. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

My overall experience with Dr. Kaufman has been great, she was there when I delivered my 2nd daughter, and I am now seeing her for my 3rd child. She is so sweet, caring and answers all questions you ask she is also very reassuring if you are worried about something. I will continue to see her at my appointments and I would tell anyone I know to go to her, if they needed a good OBGYN.

Dr Kaufman was my Dr in San Antonio Tx. She helped me have a beautiful baby boy. She is a wonderful doctor. Dayton OH is very very lucky to have her! If you are looking for a great doctor who is caring, understanding, and gentle...you have found her.
