Dr. Leia Mercedes Medlock, MD

Dr. Leia Medlock was an exceptional OBGYN! She's not only incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, but also truly compassionate and understanding. She took the the time to listen to my concerns and makes me feel comfortable and valued. EMuchemi March, 2025

Dr. Medlock is the most caring and supportive doctor I’ve ever encountered. She takes the time to clearly explain complicated procedures and she LISTENS. I don’t feel like just a number. She takes my concerns seriously and does all in her power to ensure my wellbeing. Her skills as a surgeon are impeccable and I wish more doctors were like her. Dr. Medlock is your best choice, period.

Dr. Medlock was the hospitalist on call when I had to fire my OB (he was using bullying tactics because he was busy with the other two doctors in the practice out of town). It was a scary decision but I knew it was the right one as soon as I met Dr. Medlock. She was a head above the rest. Dr. Medlock is knowledgeable, personable, and patient. She always explained her recommendations and reasonings clearly which I truly appreciated (I had a very complicated labor and delivery). I will continue on with Dr. Medlock and her practice for sure!

Wonderful doctor with great bedside manner. Delivered my daughter, via c-section, last year. Was very careful with placement of the incision, and came into recovery to check on me, continuously, until discharge. Even authorized permission for me to stay in the hospital an extra day for healing and mental-health reasons when I told her I didn't feel ready to leave yet Actuality listens to and cares about what her patients say. Asks you how you're FEELING - not just about your medical history, or whether your pregnancy is progressing, as normal. Also accepts state insurance, which is a huge plus. Only downside is that the rest of the practice she's affiliated with is subpar - at best - and that there's no guarantee you'll get to see her at every visit.

Dr medlock has absolutely no idea what she is doing as an OB GYN. She used to work as a doctor in medstar harbor hospital in md. She promptly resigned from the hospital after abusing my 1 minute old new born son and breaking his arm!!!! Don't trust her at all!

Iv actually enjoyed having her as my obgyn she was humorousand very helpful along with her staff members she did a great jobof helping me give birth im sad because she left when im due for my postpartumwhich sucks.

This is the worst doctor I have ever been too in my life. I did no reasearch on her before I went. Harbor Womens Care (which currently employs her) did not disclose she literally just graduated weeks prior. She did not even know which instruments to use. Her attitude was arrogant. She could not complete my procedure. As a matter of fact, she caused me severe pain and more problems. Do not go to this girl.
