Dr. Leila Andrea Kirdani

I saw this doctor several years ago when she worked for my nutritionist, Marge Pickering-Picone. Dr. Kirdani treated me (or rather, failed to treat me) for a vaginal infection. Her main focus at that time (and still is, it seems) was hormone therapy. Without any physical exam, lab work or testing, she decided, based on my verbally reported symptoms, that I had a yeast infection and treated me with a hormone cream (applied topically to my inner thigh). I had to special order the cream from a lab in Jamestown, NY. It was extremely costly, running about $100/tube which lasted about a month. After nearly **six months** of expensive treatments (and repeated visits, during which the doctor never gave me a physical exam and told me I just needed to be patient as the treatment took time to work) as well as over-the-counter meds, I was no better. I went to an GYN who examined me (testing the swab he took from me under a microscope - something Dr. Kirdani hadn’t done) and told me a had… a **fungal infection**!!! He prescribed a vaginal cream and my symptoms abated ** the next day**!!! During this same time, Dr.Kirdani put me on DHEA, a supplement she told me was good for hormone regulation and therefore, weight loss/control. She did NOT, however, give me a dosage amount. By the end of the week, I was EXTREMELY anxious and rageful. I went in to see Marge, my nutritionist, who stopped the DHEA. Without guidance, I’d been taking far too much DHEA. After testing me, it was found that I didn’t even need this supplement. I would NOT recommend this doctor! In fact, I would advise avoiding her at all costs. She’s egotistical, believing that her treatments and ‘recommendations’ are infallible. She seems to only care about how much money she can make off each patient, not about their health care needs.

Do you homework before walking into this office. The Blood Tests requested by this "Dr" were irrelevant. This "Dr" did not test for any allergies or intolerance's before placing me on her supplements. After two weeks of feeling worse by getting very sick on her "supplements", that she sells and advised, i went to a real Naturopathic Practitioner and got to the bottom of my health issue. I get sick to my stomach when i hear the word "Doctor" used to describe Lelia Kirdani. She is a quack, not a Doctor.

A wonderful experience. She treats you like a person and explains your tests and what can be done to help you. It is a partnership. Keeping you healthy is her goal. If you are interested in your health, this is the doctor to see.

I went to this office for the HCG weight loss. I did not get the services I was promised. I had difficulty reaching the necessary people as the majority of the time I had to leave a voice mail and several days would go by before there was a return call. The hours are not good for working people as there is are no evening or Sat hours. I regret choosing this provider for services. It was just a big waste of money.

She was the best doctor I ever had, always kind, caring and knowledgeable and if she didn't know something she would admit that and then look it up until she DID know. After years of living with undiagnosed pain, she did bloodwork, x-rays and other tests until she found out what was causing my pain and then did everything she could to treat the cause of my pain. She helped me find the specialists I needed and was involved in every aspect of my care. She is the example of what a doctor should be.

I've been with her for over 5 years. Everything started out pretty good however after about 2 years, my appts started to become unproductive. This last year has been, quite frankly, pretty bad. I was blown off 2x in a row for my appt (scheduled 4 months in advance) each supposedly for a new patient who drove long distances and had complicated problems. I was there for well over an hour each time into my appt without anyone saying Dr. was not going to be able to see me. Well, here's the solution to the new patient problem: Tell the "new" patient that you need to finish up because you have another patient waiting. Schedule a call with the "new" patient to finish the conversation at the end of the day or the next day. I mean seriously, wouldn't this be the professional thing to do? That's what my out-of-state doctor did with me on 2 occasions. Was I angry? Of course not. Another incident: I had a life threatening hormone imbalance where I ended up in the emergency room. When… I emailed to let her know and ask about med changes (per the ER physician), her response was vague without specifics of any kind. (I called my pharmacist for advice.) She was constantly forgetting to call in my prescriptions - I mean EVERY appointment. And then she'd get ticked off when I emailed to remind her that the pharmacy hadn't gotten a script yet. A prescription was even called into a pharmacy I don't use - in a different town! I've had test results that she has not talked to me about after she said she'd call to discuss them. She also scheduled me out 6 months instead of my usual 4 because she"lost her practice partner and now has 950 patients to see." (Interestingly, she seems to be inviting MORE CLIENTS by having another seminar.) I don't buy most of my supplements from her - too expensive. I get them on-line much cheaper. Sorry but when insurance isn't accepted, I've got to save money some way. Also, if you think you may need to go on SS disability, she will not return the paperwork so be aware. (This could affect your ability to get help when you desperately need it.) I decided after my last appointment that would be it. Time to part ways and move on to someone who has a better handle on their practice and patients. I would just say to Dr. Kirdani, if the Dr. / Patient relationship isn't working for you, have the professionalism and decency to tell your patient. I don't think it's too much to ask.

she hardly listens to a returning patient; instead, spending like 95% of the time, reviewing lab work ..and prescribing usually OTC kinds of supplements...she's never, never touched my body to examine me...and now, I am wondering , if she is all that she makes herself out to be....

I feel confident that I will finally get an accurate diagnosis and proper treatment. My doctor at this practice has spent over an hour with me at each visit.

Thank you for being a Doc with an open mind and compassion. Having undetermined idio-syncramatic problems that have no way to help because they fall out of the normal regime. You found a way to help relieve my soreness, stiffness and lower my blood levels of inflammatory markers. I feel so much better and less stressed. You are here to help many people,

In my 15 years experience as a registered nurse, I've met and worked with a lot of doctors and been a patient to a few of my own. I have found Dr. Kirdani to be personable, patient, knowledgeable, and caring. When I first went to her, I was feeling tired, stressed and had low-level anxiety and depression. My periods had suddenly stopped but I didn't believe I was in true menopause. She has taught me a great deal about how the body works and I am feeling much better. Bio-identical hormones helped me find more energy and I seldom feel depressed. I am taking a few supplements and vitamins (I had been quite depleted) and have made changes in my evening routine so that my cortisol levels will come down more naturally to give me a good night's sleep. When you don't feel 'well' you have no idea how much more you could be engaged with your day! I feel like I'm back in "rhythm" with life and Dr. Kirdani has helped me find the path!
