Dr. Lena Baram, MD

I encountered Dr Baram at my son's 2-month visit and was very disappointed. As a first time mom, I came with a list of questions/concerns. Dr Baram appeared annoyed when I mentioned the list of questions I have for her and pretty much dismissed all my worries as normal for an infant. Granted, my son is healthy, but I left the office still worried about my son's health (we have enough issues where I don't get much sleep and I believe there is more to a child's health than an upward trend on the graph and enough dirty/wet diapers). In the end I had to schedule an appointment a week later and see another doctor who truly listened to my concerns and came up with a couple of ideas to address potential reasons for my son's fussiness. There was nothing that prevented Dr Baram to suggest the same steps a week sooner but she didn't. I am lucky enough to be able to afford another appointment both financially and time-wise. However, there are other mothers who may be in a different situation.… Every appointment is a chance for a new mom to get a peace of mind for both her and child's sake and a doctor who listens is a crucial part of it. I will not be seeing Dr. Baram again because I didn't feel heard.

Its always easy to get an appointment and the wait time is always under 10 minutes. Dr. Baram is friendly and will always take time to answer your questions. She is knowledgeable and great with kids.
