Dr. Leo Alexander Lombardo, MD

He reviewed a worker comp file and decided without looking at a patient that has no feeling in his right leg after 600 pounds collapsed onto their spine. Holds a MD in 4 states but decided that no treatment was the best course for this. Meanwhile no feeling in my leg and he’s sleeping comfortable in his million dollar houses.

A disgrace to the medical profession. Sells out to insurance companies in New York to deny treatments to patients he is not even in the same state as yet alone even examined. LOSER

My former wonderfully Dr closed her office and she sent my medical files to Dr Lombardo. He has no personality and he doesn't examined you. He just sits there and asks questions. The receptionist is the same and there is no customer service. None. I'm not even sure she ever gets off her chair. I was told that they don't have E-mail. ???? Can only use fax. My former doctor had me on some medication due to side effects from cancer and he cut them off without thinking of me as a patient. Very expensive and wants to see you every 1-2 months. I'm so exhausted from that office. They are also on 2nd floor with a elevator that is out of service a lot. Not easy when he's a back and spine physician.

Dr. Lombardo works for insurance companies in order to deny medical treatment options even though these options follow treatment guidelines. He has forgotten that he went to medical school in order to help people and instead chooses to do the dirty work of insurance companies. There are better options for treating physicians who care about the health and well-being of patients.

Leo Lombardo is not a doctor that actually tries to help people. Instead, he gets paid to "write" letters for insurance companies to deny coverage, thus saving the insurance company money. I had an on the job accident Feb. 2017, that ended up with me having a total knee replacement, which did not go well, and am now 29% disabled. This idiot sent letters out to my primary care at Mayo Clinic, no less, stating that the drug they have prescribed me for 'pain' is not for pain, and he quotes FOUR pages of what the drug is actually for, the risks, side effects, blah, blah, blah. He quotes my medical history, from the past 20 years that I have been going to the Mayo, that I suffer from constipation, diabetes, depression, headache, and chronic fatigue. What does that have to do with my knee? He continues to say that Modifinal should not be prescribed unless extensive tests have been done. Are you kidding me? He KNOWS he's sending his condescending letter to the medical… personnel at Mayo Clinic, right? The World Reknown Mayo Clinic? The same Mayo Clinic that did extensive testing BEFORE they diagnosed me with chronic fatigue years ago? The Mayo Clinic that wouldn't hire this "DR" if he was the last one on earth. He explains that he is telling the insurance company to deny the request of my prescription for Modifinal, because it is not for pain, etc., it's for daytime sleepiness among other things. He then admits that he doesn't even know what my injury was in Feb 2017. What??? How can he even make any kind of a recommendation, when he doesn't even have the injury or diagnosis that he is supposed to be making a recommendation on? Has he not maybe, connected the dots yet, and that maybe, just maybe, the Modafinal would be for chronic fatigue, and have NOTHING to do with pain, or an injury? Wouldn't the thought have crossed his mind that the pharmacy might have gotten mixed up and sent that prescription to the wrong insurance company? Oh no, trust me, he's not that quick on the intake. He even, and I quote, says "I have a scope of licensure that typically manages the medical condition, procedure, treatment or issue under review for this SPECIFIC case. To the best of my knowledge, I have not been involved with the specific episode of care prior to referral of this review." He doesn't even KNOW what the specific episode is, and admits it by stating earlier in his letter that, "The mechanism of injury was not documented in the medical reports submitted with this request". That is a textbook OXYMORON! Of course, Leo probably has no idea what that is either. Even the insurance company might want to take a closer look at their "physician advisor" before they get embroiled somewhere down the road, with his total lack of having the facts before he gives another supposedly "expert opinion". Like I said before, Run! Don't look back! Do your research and find someone that knows how to treat people, and wants to actually be a doctor and help people, rather than just being the "Great and Wonderful Oz" in his own tiny little mind.

This guy is a joke! There was a shopping cart in the waiting room. The office seemed very unorganized with one office girl.. who was so unorganized. The fact there was a shopping cart in the waiting room, there were no patients in the office and his office is in a strip mall I should have run! It felt like one of those clinics in Florida where the first thing they ask for is your MRI before they even ask why your being seen. Worst experience ever! His bedside manor was disgusting.. his arrogance was appauling, seriously needed an ego check. Just an FYI Leo your not the only MD in town! Thank God i found a compassionate MD!

Dr. Lombardo is one, of very few physician's that will take the time to understand what his patient needs, and work with his patients to develop a plan that works. I was referred for a consult for a post-op procedure just over 2 years ago. I chose to stay with him.

Dr. Lombardo takes active interest in his patients. He listens and addresses all needs.

This is now a utilization review Dr who is paid by the insurance companies in workers comp cases to say NO to patients he has not seen the patients has no access to patient medical records, M.R.I's or x-rays and makes decisions truly based on the best interest for the insurance company who is paying his wages He has seen fit to deny my medications based on his many months in practice wheas my normal pain management Dr has been treating people for 20 years and is a teacher of anesthesiology. I have undergone 9 different back surgery's spinal stimulator implanted in 2010 that broke 2 months after being implanted this guy knows none of this because he does not have my records. I hope he can sleep nights knowing that he is being pimped out

I have been having awful migraines on and off for years. I recently consulted Dr. Lombardo about what I should do. I wanted to get medication that would make my life easier while limiting any side-effects. Dr. Lombardo listened very carefully to my concerns and prescribed a new medication. He also took time to explain the optimal dosage in my case, and some other options I could try if it didn't work. Since taking the medication, I've noticed some on-and-off improvement in my condition, and I hope that this continues. I really liked Dr. Lombardo and the way he explained things to me. I appreciate a doctor who cares about his patients.
