Dr. Leo Villar Yason, MD

Dr Yason is the worst Dr I have ever seen. He is there to basically push meds & take your money. His wife was the office manager there when I was a patient. The waiting room was always crowded & dirty. He tried to sell the practice a while back & fell in with some scam artists who supposedly took his money but also got ahold of patient records. It was a nightmare & he would not take any responsibility for what happened. If you are in need of psychiatric care, I would look elsewhere.

Keeping family passed 72 hour baker act time period. Keeping her against her will. Will NOT return phone calls. When I got a phone number to speak to him, he stated it was his personal number and would NOT talk to me. Said he would call tomorrow. I stated we had left messages for him ALL day at Springbrook Hospital and he has not returned out call. He then HUNG UP!!! I pray to GOD that no one else suffer the way our family has in dealing with this DR or this facility

The most memorable is the absolute terror that Leo keeps his patients in. Conditions, bedside manner, the man is void of human-ism. I gave 0 rating because NO ONE returned phone calls, the staff appear to be non-respondent, no diagnosis since Leo is only an illusion, no bedside manner since Leo saw no patient, spent no time with patient, and who would want a follow-up visit for an illusion. Leo is no USA material.

The most uncaring arrogant "Doctor" I have ever dealt with. Does not care one bit about the patient, just his wallet!

Do NOT see this dr. Dr.Yasons wife/head nurse,is the rudest woman on earth. I suffer from gad and Yason calmed me down and gave me the right meds but dont try to reschedule! I tried to change my appointment and was sent into a rage dealing with his wife/head nurse! She was actually TRYING to insult me. What a way to treat a patient with anxiety. I literally threw my phone against the wall. I pray she messes w the WRONG patient some day soon. I blame Yason for allowing this. Avoid this timid man. He'll leave you hangin if you cross the HEAD nurse! I landed in the e.r.with benzo withdrawal.

Wife does not understand that she is not qualified to give medical advice! Dr. Y needs to terminate her roll in the office.

Dr Yason is a decent doctor but his wife Susan who runs the office is simply a terrible person with issues of her own. She is very rude to the patients and shows no compassion. She is also a bold faced liar with a hot temper. She needs help herself. I get sick when I have to deal with her. Stay away from this place if you can.

Dr. Yason is an excellent Psychiatrist who has helped me tremendously. He is patient, kind, and a good diagnostician. The one problem in the office, is that he has one very unprofessional staff member. I cannot imagine that he has not received complainst about her before, or witnessed himself the rude manner in which she speaks to Patients. She is chronically irritable, condescending and arrogant. She seems to forget that she is interacting with persons with Mental Disorders who are often very sensitive. I do not know her name, and, I myself, do not have disagreements or power struggles with her, as I assessed from our first meeting that she would require a great deal of validation. This only because I am a MSW - other Patients are CONTINUALLY VICTIMIZED BY HER. I believe if she were to leave, Dr. Yason's ratings would go up. She, I believe, is Philippine and may have a personal, social relationship with the Dr. I do not think this is improper or unethical, as long as they are able to… keep their personal dynamics out of the office. Unfortunately, I see her as very domineering with the Dr., and he may be too intimidated to correct her behavior in the office. Dr. Yason is a gentle, soft-spoken man, whom some Patients may interpret as a lack of confidence in his work. This, I believe is a cultural difference, as I experience his treatment as first-rate. I speak from whence I know, as I have had occasion to observe many Psychiatrists throughout the 15 years working in my profession.

Dr. Yason has his wife in charge of the office and she is very mean spirited no wonder he already had a heart attack. She calls all the shots and is not above violating HIPPA guidelines. Dr. Yason will actually diagnose and treat you for what you think is wrong with you to keep you coming. This wrong and dangerous.

All I can say is that I went to see Dr. Yason for postpartum depression and he was very nice. He prescribed me medication such as an anti-depressant and klonipin for anxiety. I had an adverse reaction and called to let them know and his "nurse" which is also his wife, is one cold fish. She was no help at all. Rude, rude, rude. She treated me as if I was beneath her and not worth her time. I cancelled my apt. due to not having a babysitter and she sent me a letter stating that I was a no show. I wasn't a no show...I called to cancel. When I called her regarding the letter she started to argue with me. She is a very RUDE individual and does not care about the patients whatsoever. She is definitely in the wrong field of practice. I feel bad for the patients that are suicidal and get her on the phone. I would NOT recommend going to him just because you will get more stressed than help due to his "wife/nurse". I am currently looking for a different Dr. and only because of his wife. I even… tried to kill her with kindness and she still acted nasty and could care less about my problems. My advice is to look for someone else to see for services. Not worth the time.
