Dr. Leon Elliot Kurtz, MD

This was my third colonoscopy, my second with Dr. Leon Kurtz. While the procedure was satisfactory, the aftermath was less than. There were serious questions resulting from the paper “report” I received from the nurse but it was profoundly difficult reaching out to get answers. My calls were finally returned after four days and Dr. Kurtz called me five days later. In the past Dr. Kurtz would call you into his office, after the procedure, to discuss the results of the colonoscopy. This time it was handled by a nurse that made haphazard explanations, thrusting a piece of paper, graham crackers and apple juice at you and sending you on your way. What happened to the Dr.’s patient conference afterwards that was so reassuring and satisfying? I was extremely disappointed with this visit.

So helpful to be fully and clearly informed of what's going to happen and all the possibilities. Great caring staff at his advantage care office on Nostrand and amazing team of nurses and front desk on Atlantic. I had a colonoscopy today and woke up singing. Nurse held my hand when I was nervous. Thank you nurses Clarelle, Tania and Maryse for making me feel safe and excellent care. Thanks Dr Kurtz I'm feeling no pain.
