I had two total knee replacements done by Dr. Mead. Could not be happier , a wonderful doctor, great staff, NCH was great, my physical therapy was a big help after surgery. I had a total knee replacement on Feb 22. Two nights in hospital pain at level 2 at the worst. Went home following hospital stay and discontinued all pain meds after two days. On third day home was walking without assistance from walker or cane. Dr. Mead said I could pitch and putt after three weeks in fact I could do that after one week. I am 74 years old and not in particularly good shape. Do your post op exercises and follow his pre op instructions you will be fine. The result for me was far beyond my expectations .

This doctor does not believe in Inpatient rehab regardless of age or circumstance. I’m 74 years old. He wants you to go home directly from hospital after knee replacement . I pushed back and told him I needed IP and he reluctantly agreed. After four days I was told I was being discharged to the surprise of IP nurses stating it seemed too soon -and yes I was not ready -I called the office to advocate for a couple of more days to be met with an unsympathetic-curt and Robotic staff member practically scolding me for asking-she told me she would ask dr Meade and get back to me-so so stressful for healing and peace of mind. That was not my first experience with rudeness from his staff-if your looking for compassionate care this is not the place.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mead and his staff. They have a great program starting from before surgery to well afterwards which is extremely effective. Dr. Mead is a talented surgeon and has a very well trained staff. I had knee replacement surgery and not only am I doing superbly, but I am completely satisfied.

It is been exactly one week since Dr Mead performed a total hip replacement on me. I’m following every bit of advice from the doctor, his staff, the physical therapist and the visiting nurse. I’m 100% plus impressed not only with the doctor but his staff who work behind the scenes . Up in till this point they’ve been very accommodating and pleasant. I had a full knee replacement 12 weeks ago. Dr Mead was the most caring surgeon who answered all my questions about the procedure and stem cell. Being new to the area I had asked many people who they would recommend. I kept hearing "Dr Mead"! Now I know he is not just a good surgeon but the BEST!

Rare that both my wife and I immediately sensed confidence in Dr. Mead. He is one of a kind.

After many years of being active-particularly playing tennis-I went to Dr. Mead for knee pain. My cartilage was worn away, with an area of bone on bone. Being fairly young, we did not want to do a knee replacement. I was discouraged about my future mobility and what activity level I could sustain. Dr. Mead suggested stem cell therapy, which was then performed in April. I am 5 months out and cannot believe the change in my knee! Everyday it gets stronger and stronger and I am extremely optimistic about the high level of exercise and activity I will be able to do for years to come. I feel blessed and am so thankful for Dr. Mead!!

I had both my knees operated on by Dr. Meed. That was the best decision I have ever made. I could barely get up from a chair, or stand up for more than a minute, and now I can get up fast and stay standing for a long period of time, and walk without a cane. I have found the staff very friendly and helpful whenever I was there or I called for something. Dr. Meed keeps up on your progress at regular intervals, even a year later. I can't say enough of how grateful I am to him.
