Dr. Tung cared for me when I was hospitalized for pneumonia that went septic. I remember being so terribly frightened. He was a calming influence. I appreciate that he does not try to create dramatics or further stress. His care doesn't end when you walk out of the hospital, it continues. Time is taken to explain things so that you can understand. He looks at the big picture, not the narrowed view. He took my asthma seriously. He took my allergies seriously. I feel like I matter. I'm not just a number. He shares himself with his patients just as much as he wants you to share with him. Of my providers, he is one that I trust beyond reproach. Every time someone I know says they need a pulmonologist, his name is the first thing that I think of. I am grateful to him not only for providing me the best care possible and looking at scans and being honest, I am grateful that he took into account that I have other health issues including chronic illnesses. He was honest. It is difficult hearing… that your recovery is going to be extensive and time consuming, however, it is better than being lied to. Just a wonderful man all the way around. I adore Dr. Tung.
