Dr. Leonard John Carapezza, DDS

I can confirm other reviews that Dr. Carapezza is a cruel, incompetent, and probably mentally unfit practitioner. None of the other, negative reviews are in any way exaggerated. My sister and I are also survivors of many years of his “treatments” in the 1970s and bear lifelong emotional and physical damage to prove it. He should not be alone with anyone’s children due to a repeated pattern of physical cruelty, and anger issues that quickly converted to smiles and charm on the rare occasion when our mother entered the treatment room. It’s a miracle he has no public complaints reported on his license. Both of us were subjected to years of ineffective, expensive orthodontia including sharpened mental prongs cemented to the inside of my sister’s lower teeth to discourage tongue thrust. Anyone else would be better.

Arrogant, nasty and rude

He was my childhood dentist and I agree with the first review. He was physically aggressive and short tempered. He would grab me and yell at me. I was only 6 when I started seeing him. Greedy and abusive. I don’t know how he is still in business.

I was a patient here for 8 years with this man as a child back in the 1970's. NEVER would I let this man Dr Carapezza in the same room with my kids. He was a very mean, abusive person to me behind my parents back. He would yell at me, jerk my head and hurt my neck, then he would say "stop crying, your mother is coming in!". This guy really hurt me at times. This man is a narcissist. Do not go to this person. I swear on my life that this is true and it did happen to me.
