Dr. Leonard Thaddeus Carr, MD

I was wary of calling to make my first appointment because of the comments I had read about rude receptionists. I was blown away to find the person on the phone so warm and helpful! I asked a ton of questions, being a new patient, and she was so patient and helpful. She told me Dr. Carr is an awesome doctor and has been practicing for 25 years with a specialty in ADHD, and she made me feel so reassured that he would help us. She gave me a clear picture of what the first appointment would be like and did her best to find us the first appointment possible.

I am sure that Dr. Carr is a wonderful doctor but sadly Mary the "receptionist" at the North Shore Wellness Center is an obnoxious, bad-mannered , horrid woman with a shrill voice. I called to leave a message for Dr. Carr and Mary blatantly refused to do so. (She rudely told me that even if she gave him the message he would ultimately tell Mary to call me back anyway and that if I needed immediate assistance to just go to the ER) What?!?! Is she his Receptionist or his Oppressor? My overall experience with Mary was painfully distressing. You will, without a doubt, need an appointment with a highly trained doctor after dealing with the vulgarity that is Mary. It's a good scheme for the Wellness Center I suppose.

I heard he was an excellent doctor and that his front office SUCKS! Well that is 110% correct. They are rough, rude and do not follow through with what they say they will or are asked. Cant wait to let Carr and Cann know.

I saw this doctor for many years, as did my family. He is extremely good w/diagnostic and medication management services.

Great with children. I really don't know what I would of have done if it wasn't for him.

Dr Carr is great, but I stopped seeing him because I could not deal with his receptionist. She is rude and surly, and shows nothing but disdain for patients. I came out of Dr Carr's office one time to hear her screaming and swearing (F word) on the phone. Most often, she answers the phone with "please hold". She has never asked if I could hold or if I was calling with an emergency. The wait time when she puts you on hold is usually at least 10 minutes.

All in all Dr Carr is great, gets to the point quickly and without offending. The office staff on the other hand is to much to deal with. I am not sure if she is family as that might explain the reason she is still working there. Read all the other posts about her and I back them up. She is just unhappy? Getting time to see Dr Carr can also be difficult as well, always booked up.

We have to leave this practice due to the awful front desk help. This office is supposed to work with people with mental health issues. Often they are struggling, hence they see a doctor. You would think the person at the desk would be understanding and kind. She is terrible. Rude, disrespectful, refuses to help out, etc. Also, when I have tried to go pick things up, the doctors are in but the office section is closed. I have called during business hours and received the answering service. We as a family can no longer tolerate this kind of support staff. (an obvious misnomer for this office.)

This is THE WORST run medical office I have ever dealt with!!! The employee at the front desk has such a negative attitude, I am SHOCKED she is employed working with people! She obviously hates her job! I have had NUMBEROUS problems with billing. I would not recommend this office to my worst enemy!

To even make an appointment you have to deal with the world's rudest receptionist. I think Dr. Carr should give her some happy pills. Then Dr. Carr will make you wait 30min and will most likely see you for 5minutes - just long enough to charge your insurance company, bill you and give you a prescription of the latest drug on the market with free samples he received from a salesman.
