Dr. Leonard David Saltzman, MD

Dr. Saltzman is friendly and remembers you and your family. He is frank when he talks to you, but I would rather hear, "Let's do some blood work and see" versus well, I think. If it's a virus no Doctor can help you. If it's treatable he acts swiftly and accurately. If it is more than what a family practice Doctor should be advising you on, he sets up an appointment to the specialist with the specialized equipment to help. And yes, he has a long waiting time. Because he is full of patients. Go figure!

I am writing this review based on many visits not just one. First, there is the office staff. They could not be any more professional, kind, considerate or accommodating. I have been in many medical offices over my lifetime and can honestly say there is not a better office staff in any environment. In my opinion the office staff has reached a point where there is really no room for improvement, they are exceptional. My family visits to Dr. Saltzman have covered almost every scenario (colds and flu, COVID, broken bones, diabetes, gull bladder, kidney stones, anxiety, etc.) He has provided my family with exceptional care through out every incident (there is not one time we have felt anyone else could have done better). If he is not sure, he provides guidance on a specialist that can help. He seems like he is always on call and provides my family with a sense of relief just knowing he is there for us. I have lived in many states and have seen lot of physicians in my time but cannot think… of any physician that provided wholistically care to his level. He really cares about his patients and his practice is exceptional.

Been going to Dr Saltzman for 4 years best Doctor in Stanly County

Dr Saltzman is the worst! He does not listen to his patient or their families! If you ask him a question he gets offended and will not listen. He will throw pills at you instead of trying to figure out what is really going on. When you asking him about other symptoms he states they are no big deal and " He's not scared of being sued if he's wrong!" A side note his nursing staff are excellent and go out of their way to help you!

Very well organized, prompt, directly to the point.

All he cares about is seeing you one time just to get your money or the insurance company's money. He is not in this profession because he likes dealing with or helping people. He is lazy and depends on his nurses to help him diagnose patient's conditions.No problem in getting an appointment because he will see everyone and then refer them all out to specialist because he doesn't want to deal with the. The wait waS awful and no room to sit down. I guess they make everyone's appointment at the same time to make sure he gets out in time for lunch.What a quack!

Good experience overall

I found this Dr. to be rather obnoxious,and only out to make a buck. His bedside manner and his fishy handshake truly feel short of the mark.
