Dr. Leonard Schindel, MD

My mother has been a patient of Dr Schindel for many years. During most of that time he treated her in an acceptable and professional manner. However, in the last couple of years, he and his practice have changed. First, they do not the phone a significant part of the time, including office hours. You cannot leave a voicemail message. That creates a situation in which you cannot get help. The few times that one is lucky enough to get through, you’re met with a dismissive attitude. My mother is very old, with many health problems, as expected. However, Dr Schindel sent her on her way, ignoring her pleas and questions. After ten days of suffering she wound up in the hospital. If Dr Schindel had acted appropriately and conscientiously, in a timely manner, my mother wouldn’t have endured the level of medical nightmare she suffered. She has changed doctors.

Please do not fall for the fake positive reviews. This guy is absolutely awful. my mother was a patient of his before I forced her to leave his office and find somebody else. I witnessed him give her horrible medical Care and mistreat her by being rude with behaviors borderline on abusiveness. He's got an attitude problem and lacks medical knowledge. He also has no respect for people's time and you will wait in his waiting room about 1 hour to maybe one and a half hours past your appointment. Please go somewhere else this guy sucks

My father is a patient of his for several years. He was hospitalized and we had to change our flight plans and needed a note confirming his diagnosis and his hospital stay for our flight change insurance. They charged me $50 to write a three line letter confirming his disagnosis and duration of his hospitalization. Pretty unbelievable.
