After suffering from a chronic cough for nearly a year with no resolution, I made an appointment with Dr Yin due to information I found on the Valley ENT website. At my first appointment, Dr Yin evaluated my symptoms, performed an exam, gave me a diagnosis and a plan of action. He explained what he was doing during the exam and then explained the results. I found Dr Yin very thorough, knowledgeable and efficient. I am very grateful for his care and treatment. 1

I took my daughter there after an X-ray ordered by her pediatrician revealed enlarged adenoids. She had been religiously snoring, waking up with sore throats, complaining of headaches, nasally when speaking, pausing her breathing while sleeping, along with a multitude of other symptoms leading her ped to believe she needed at least her adenoids out. We went to Valley ENT and Dr. Yin didn’t ask my daughter one question, did not look up from his computer while talking to me, dismissed my concerns, said xrays aren’t the best tool to diagnose enlarged tonsils and he wasn’t even going to look at them. That may be the case, but why tell me that? I did not order the X-ray I was advised by a medical professional to get one done. He said children snoring is normal, the pauses she was taking while she slept was normal, and that her tonsils were smaller than average, and then he wanted to try an adult dose of a nasal steroid spray for a month and see us back. I just felt like he ignored my every… concern and made me feel like a crazy mom. I left that appointment super upset, and called my ped, who recommended I got a second opinion, which I did, 2 days later. They ordered a sleep study after listening to my concerns, she disagreed with him, stating my daughters tonsils were larger than average and “kissing” had her count to 10 and could notice how nasally she sounded, agreed with me what she was doing when she slept was not normal and wanted me to follow up after the study. 2 weeks later we go in for the results and my daughter has moderate sleep apnea (which I knew in my mom gut had to be the case due to the way she slept), and her recommendation was to take both her adenoids and tonsils. We got all of this figured out before we were due back in Dr. Yin’s office for a follow up with the nasal steroid. I felt completely dismissed during the appt by Dr. Yin, and I recommend anyone who may feel the same to please seek a second opinion, instead of unnecessary medication, additional doctor visits, and copays.

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Dr. Yin and his team! My 4 year old daughter stuck the back of an earring in her ear and after a few traumatic experiences at the ER and another ENT (whom I canceled the procedure with) - we are thankful to have found Dr. Yin. He is very professional, he listened to our concerns and asked questions. We scheduled the procedure the same day and finished her follow-up appointment yesterday. I'm so glad we found an ENT we can trust. I highly recommend Dr. Yin and his team!

We had a very bad experience with Dr. Yin, he is so discourteous and arrogant, medically talking he was not helpful at all. We should be aware of that when we made the appointment, his office staff was so rude too (Sheila). Do not spend your time and your money with this doctor.

When the doctor came in, he asked why we were there. After explaining, he went on to say that he couldn't do anything and that our worries weren't valid and he didn't even need to check my baby out. He missed a couple of diagnoses since he wasn't willing to do anything since my baby was gaining weight and "looked" fine even though we had been sent there by another specialist. Had he checked my son and (hopefully) caught the diagnoses, we would have avoided months of other appointments/treatments

He is a great Dr. I didn't know when he started the procedure and I felt good when I woke up. I thought that I would be in extreme pain, I highly recommend him.

My 2 1/2 year old had to have an adenoidectomy at 18months and then a tonsillectomy at 2yrs. Dr. performed both surgeries and he completely put my mind at ease. He's thorough when explaining the procedure, recovery time etc.. Dr. Yin is honest and listens to your questions.
