Dr. Lesley Megan Davila, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Davila’s for years, but I have recently decided to stop seeing her. She is a patient and knowledgeable doctor who listened carefully to me during our visits. My autoimmune issues, though, were symptomatic only with no specific diagnosis. We got to the point of just managing my pain. After a while, I got the feeling that our visits were becoming routine for her, and that my complaints about certain medications were dismissed (i.e., “it’s all in your head, but we can try something else…”). The final straw was when I needed a renewal of a prescription I’d been on for years right before the Labor Day weekend and she didn’t fill it until after the long weekend was over. The script was sent from my pharmacy to her office on Thursday. By Friday, it was still not renewed so I sent the office a message through the portal. After a few hours of not hearing anything, I called the office. The woman assured me that they would get the message to Dr. Davila. Nothing happened and… I went through the three-day weekend in a tremendous amount of pain and nighttime withdrawal. It was awful. I had to message the office again. They apologized for the “delay”, and I finally got my medication Tuesday afternoon. I don’t know who dropped the ball on this, whether it was the office staff or Dr. Davila, because when I inquired, I got no response. Nothing.

Dr Davila is a very very good doctor. She had my correct diagnosis within the first part of my initial visit. She was the fourth doctor I had seen for the same ailment with (up to that time) limited results. I had been in great pain and discomfort for months. I am now recovering and gaining strength and mobility. She is sympothetic and listens carfully to your comments. She is now located at the new UT SW Facility in Dallas. I cant say enough to compliment her and her staf.
