Dr. Leslie E. Cohen

She came highly recommended and has an excellent reputation amongst other doctors (not just at WCNYP). But how she made me feel and the peace of mind that I was going to be ok and have beautiful results, the confidence I had in her skill were why I ultimately chose her. And she did deliver! Everything she told me came true, my implants are so natural looking, something I thought wasn’t ever going to be possible after the double mastectomy. I am beyond happy with the results and highly recommend her to anyone needing breast reconstruction.

Dr Cohen and her staff are all exceptional. I've never experienced such outstanding care. It's far more like 20 stars out of 5.

I don’t enough words to express my appreciation to Dr. Leslie Cohen and her staff. Her office works like a clock and though sometimes I had to wait for her a bit, it’s understandable – she is a surgeon. Anybody who goes under a knife, wants to have the best surgeon they can find. And Dr. Cohen is one of the best in what she does. She initially did a breast removal and then a reconstructive surgery on both breasts. I’m ecstatic about my new look and would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Cohen to anybody who needs similar kind of surgeries. And I also want to thank her support staff – Nicole and Madeline, they are fantastic!

Dr. Cohen was amazing throughout the entire process. Excellent bedside manner and attention to detail. Always in a good mood with a smile on her face. Madeline and Nicole from her office are amazing as well! Excellent communication and guidance. I had a bilateral mammoplasty reduction with a lift. During my consult, Dr. Cohen explained everything I needed to know and answered my questions thoroughly. Her knowledge and expertise made me feel at ease. The day of surgery she came in and asked me how my children were, mind you I had only met with her once before and that was 10 months earlier. I’m sure she wrote in her notes that I had children as I don’t expect her to remember my personal life amongst her many patients but the fact that she asked made me feel good and relaxed. My surgery went excellent, thank god. The only downside of the entire process, which isn’t Dr. Cohen’s fault is the wait time. I called her office in Nov. 2021 and was given a Dec. 2022 consult as she was fully… booked. When Dec. 2022 came, she had a family emergency and my consult was postponed until Jan. 2023. I had a regular wait time for my consult and either Dr. Cohen or her PA informed me that sometimes her surgeries have to get postponed due to other surgeries that come in and take precedence over the type of surgery I was having. So I was already given a heads up and I was fine with that. From Jan. 2023 her surgeries were booking out to Sept. 2023. So I was booked for a 9/25/2023 surgery. For personal reasons I later postponed to 10/30/23. Then the office postponed to 10/31/23. A week before the surgery they called to postpone for 11/6/2023. The day of the surgery, mine got delayed 2 hours because her surgery before mine took longer than expected. I was her third and final surgery of that day. Things that happen and are out of our control. I finally had my surgery and have had 1 post op visit and everything is great. I am really happy so with my experience.

Dr. Leslie E. Cohen and her team did a fantastic job. I had a breast reduction four weeks ago, and everything looks superb. Her staff made me feel the highest level of comfort and confidence. This is not an easy thing to do for me, as I am a worrier. The morning of the surgery, I was super nervous and scared, which ended; as soon as Dr. Cohen and her team entered the room, I felt the utmost confidence with my choice and went into surgery, knowing I am in the best possible hands. Thank you to everyone who cared for me during and after the surgery.

I had my breast implants replaced by Dr. Cohen last week and she did a fantastic job! They are perfect. She repaired the work that my previous surgeons did and I am so happy with the way they look now.

Our handicapped daughter had complex Spine surgery at Weill Cornell Hospital in Manhattan. The Neurosurgeon advised that Dr. Cohen would follow after he completed his procedure and "close" the wound. She failed to do what he said she would do and and our daughter was left with a painful "open" wound that became infected with MSRA/SEPSIS less than 2 weeks after surgery. It was "visible" green infected tissue the entire length of her wound. This lasted for months and weekly trips to see Dr. Cohen. She NEVER took blood work, or a culture to identify the infection; the basic common-sense approach/protocol that every competent doctor knows should be done to identify, and treat infection. It resulted in an emergency hospital stay after 2 and 1/2 months where our daughter almost died because of the lack of "common-sense" medical protocol to identify and treat the bacterium in our daughter's blood. This Doctor was a "NIGHTMARE"! She did not exhibit competency, knowledge, or… professionalism in the post-op care of our daughter. We are lucky that our daughter is still alive, but she gets no credit for that outcome. If it wasn't for a Doctor where we live that did what she should have done, and the ID doctors who identified the correct anti-biotic, our daughter would not be here. If you need plastic surgery at Weill Cornell, check who is going to do it, and make sure it's not Dr. Leslie Cohen.

Total hack. This doctor left me deformed. I don’t know if this was due to the “teaching hospital” aspect or her utter lack of engagement. Stay away from this nightmare and do your own research on who is operating on your body
