He Cured me of HEMOCRANIA CONTINUA unresponsive to indomethacin. Less than 1% ofor population gets what I had. I was in the .01% that does not respond to normal treatment. The pain was beyond horrible. 7 months straight of horrible pain, doctors kept passing me around. He saw me, said yes you have what the first doctor thought, the meds just did not work for you. He gave me 20 injections and like magic I was cured. I had been to 7 other neurologists that couldn't figure it out. He knew in less than a minute what to do. He gave injections, which worked when 45 other meds did not. He said he was retiring in two days due to unforseen circumstances. All I know is he saved me life. I too had frustrations on not being able to get recommendations or a referral as to whomake to follow up with. However, he did what no one else in the state could, make the pain go away. And I was uninsured. I paid for the appointment, he did the treatment for free. 20 trigger point injections into skull. I was… disabled before he helped me. Regardless of why he retired, I am forever grateful.

He was so mean. He over medicated me then said I was faking it ! He was so demeaning. Then said I could not go back to work , so I lost my career . Then would not help me get disability. Awful Dr. !

He figured out that a combination of a mineral, a vitamin and a herb would get rid my headaches that I had daily for 3 years.

me and my mom were dr. kelmans patients. he seemed to just opne day disappear . leaving my mother and many many patients without care or referall. then we hear that a distant family member of his had a brain tumor causing his abrupt retirement. sounds almost too sympathetic to be true. I guess the truth is stranger than fiction.

I have been seen Dr. Kelman for 20 plus years and have always loved his professional demeanor as well as the personal attention from his office staff.The way he did not contact his patients before he retired is very unlike his past track record, though.

I've been a patient of Dr. Kelman's for many years, and he will be missed. My first brain hemorrhage was at age 27 and the second at 47. Serious seizure disorder resulted, in addition to some brain damage. I believe he saved my life and helped control the seizures by proper medication. He was a gentleman's gentleman. Yes, he didn't have the best bedside manor, but he was my neurologist --not my partner or close friend. His style kept patients on track, on point, and focused. It was efficient and helped me, and it allowed him more time to spend with other patients. I never waited more than 10 minutes to see him. Admittedly, his PA appeared cold and detached. The front desk staff was consistently very kind, gracious, and polite -- to me and all others, from my many observations. Absolutely I, too, am quite disappointed at his sudden retirement, lack of notification, and now the worry to extract the medical records. Honestly, I feel a bit anxious and vulnerable, but I have to… adjust -- and find someone closer to me. Perhaps he is VERY ill himself; perhaps some horrible family matter or crisis occurred. Happens to everyone. I will wish the good doctor God's speed and best wishes to him and his family. Be kind to him; something major must have happened. We can't walk in his or anyone's shoes. Not for a moment do I believe he would intentionally disappear without regard for his patients. I'm contacting St. Joseph's hospital medical records to see if they may have an idea where the records may be. They may be able to provide some insight.

Pretty sad... was a patient with this physician, the number is disconnected, no additional contact information and no information that the office was closing. Now I can not get my medical records to go to a new Neurologist

As I read the reviews, I don't know who they are speaking of. My primary doctor referred me to Doctor Kelman and I have been a patient of his for over 10 years. Doctor Kelman and his staff have provided me with the best experience I have ever had, never rushed, always friendly, professional, office clutter free, etc. I have asked him questions and there has never been an issue with him responding. I am truly affected by the fact that he is no longer my doctor, however I understand his reasons for retiring (extreme family issues). The closing of his office may not have occurred in the most professional manner, however I truly believe he and his staff did the best they could under the circumstances. I do have my medical records and a referral.
