Dr. Leslie Wilmot Nelson, MD

Highly recommend. He is kind, caring, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. He takes the time to listen to questions and provide explanations that patients can understand. He is clearly dedicated to his work and to his patients.

Dr. Nelson and his staff have been superior in all respects. Both he and his staff are very courteous, and they have good interpersonal skills. I’ve never had to wait long in the office or for telehealth Zoom visits. But, I would be patient if I had to wait because generally that would indicate Dr. Nelson was attending to the needs of another patient. He is very knowledgeable, his checkups are thorough, and I feel confident that my healthcare is in good hands. I became his patient about a year ago when the doctor I’d had for years retired. I thought no one could take her place. But Dr. Nelson has done just that.

Dr. Nelson saved my life in 2012 ,I was hospitalized and Charleston Methodist . i went to emergency I was weak could not walk, 5 hours I lay in ER waiting for a room. The ER Dr`s couldn`t figure what was wrong .8pm I was put in a room. they did all kinds of lab work then about 9pm a Dr. Came and said it was a virous gave me some pills and sent me home. Mind you I still could not walk and had to be put in our car. The situation got worse, I was able to get in to see Dr.Nelson he determined I needed to go to Arlington Memorial ER. We went right away.I was put in a room I was by then paralyzed from the neck down. Dr. Nelson and Dr.Shah determent I have Gillion Barre Syndrome I was hospitalized for 1 month and 3 weeks in rehab. If not for Dr. Nelsons aggressive attack of my symptoms I may not be here today. He is our primary family Dr.

I've only had two visits with Dr. Nelson & & what I get from him is that he's Extremely serious about his work. He's Prompt, Attentive, Caring & Professional.

Dr. Leslie Nelson will be our Internist for the rest of our lives. He takes a sincere interest in ones problems and finds the best way to cure them. He is pleasant and has an outstanding memory. He is efficient in all ways.

New patient with Dr. Nelson. Found him extremely conscientious, listened to my symptoms, asked specific and comprehensive questions, and was forthcoming in advising against taking the liberty of treating me without having first seen a specialist. He is prompt, efficient and kind. I will continue to see him in the future.
