Dr. Leslie Ann Ostler, MD

Dr. Ostler is the best gynecologist I've ever had. She is patient and she really listened to me. I have struggled with gynecological issues my entire life. She was able to root out the cause and provide effective treatment for me. I am forever grateful. I had to have some uncomfortable procedures done. She was so great at reducing my stress and making me feel as comfortable as possible. I followed her from Millcreek to the University of Utah. I'd love to know where she is now. If anyone knows, please post. Thanks!

Dr. Ostler had me wait at least 45-1 hour long every visit. She never had any new information to tell me about my pregnancy as a new mother, and she never followed up with my baby's size and development. I finally changed doctors and i had to be sent to the labor and delivery for having such a small baby, something Dr. Ostler never expressed was a problem, but i'm 34 weeks pregnant and we're barely looking into different remedies and things we can do to help get her weight up. Moral of the story, i was completely neglected by Dr. Ostler and she never shared any information about my test results, or ultrasound results with me. I would not recommend her.

Overall, I have had great experiences with Dr. Ostler, not only is she friendly, she is thorough, caring and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor especially when my life was threatened by a medical emergency. She (and Davis Hospital) gave me the most quality care I have ever had. I will never be able to thank them enough. Her office could improve on the promptness of getting patients back to see their doctors, but that would not deter me from having her as my doctor.

I switched to Dr. Ostler because my regular was out because of surgery. I ended up liking her a lot more. It might take a little while longer to see her, but it's because she spends all the time her patients need with them. I had a million questions about the hospital and tons of other things and she answered every single question. She seems to be a bit timid at first, but I don't really like someone who is all up in my face and ignoring my concerns because they know more than I do. She really does care, you can tell. She explains things to you, not just dismisses whatever your concern is. She is great and I will be going back.

I didn't see her through my whole pregnancy, but when my original ob had to get a surgery she was out for the last weeks of my pregnancy. They had me see dr ostler and I have to say she was great. Answered all my questions, listened to my concerns and gave great advise. When I was in labor she was awesome, never made me feel rushed or pushed drugs on me and let nature take its course it was great. At my postpartum visit she was great. We talked about the best form of birth control (this was my 2nd child) and how I still need to take it easy (not healed all the way). She is a wonderful dr very caring and she really listens to what you have to say. She takes her time with you and never makes you feel rushed. I'll be going to her for the rest of my child bearing years.

The wait time was inexcusable. Both times I saw Dr. Ostler, I had to wait 50-55 mins in the exam room before I was seen. I spent less than 10 minutes with her when she finally did manage to see me. I told her my symptoms, instead of checking for an infection, she sent off a culture. Now I have to wait 1 to 2 weeks, all the while I have pain and discharge!!! This doctor is a joke. A white wall has a better personality.
