Examination and very thorough explanation of the problem were very much appreciated. Referral for physical therapy and follow-up with neurology advised. Diagnosis was golfer's elbow and use of matt strap for pain and tremor.

Dr. Sisco-Wise and her staff are very professional and personable. I would recommend to anyone with a hand difficulties

On Nov. 1, 2011, Dr. Leslie Sisco-Wise operated on the middle finger of my right hand. When the bandages were removed on Nov. 19th, I asked to see Dr. Sisco and was told she was not available. I learned later that a splint should have been put on my finger right then. It wasn't until weeks later that I got a splint. By then it was too late. Long story short - my finger is deformed.

I thought I was going to lose my hand after an accident. Dr. Sisco Wise immediately assesses the situation, answered my questions and got me into surgery quickly. I had a long recovery and she was always willing to answer my questions and work with my PT to promote healing. Now, four months later, my hand is almost as good as new. Thank you!

I went into surgery with NO disability. Afterwards my hand was swollen so badly for nearly 4 months it looked like a club. Physical therapy began @ 6 weeks as ordered. At my 7-8 week postop visit it was the surgical resident who identified my hand had developed CRPS - COMPLEX REGIONAL PAIN SYNDROME. My dr. denied it. I went home and googled this condition. The prognosis of this condition is so grave I could not even finish reading about it. My drs. own physical therapist confirmed to me that indeed my hand appeared to have this condition. I was left with a lifetime disability. There is NO CURE FOR CRPS !!!! I thank God the resident alerted me because my physician denied her surgery caused it. A hand surgeon double boarded in microsurgery in Houston called her surgery " brutal ", and that was his exact words! Her surgery caused damage to the nerves ( and I had NONE BEFORE the surgery ) resulting in a condition where the sympathetic nerves remain " in a continuous… frenzied state ". A wonderful neurologist referred me to a pain dr. who told me that the impairment of the nerves can migrate from the extremity to the spinal cord and then to the brain. The damage is irreversible and extremely disabling. The pain physician performed several procedures that he hoped would calm down the sympathetic nerves. Along with his treatment I had to take very high doses of gabapentin or neurotin. This medication does sedate the nerves but does so to ALL of your nerves, leaving you very very sedated. I hated this medication but there was no alternative. The pain dr. told me that I was fortunate that I came to him early in the onset of this condition. If the condition goes untreated for even 6 months there in 95% of those patients the condition will continue to progress and cannot be improved. My condition has " plateaued " . Despite the loss of function in my hand for the rest of my life at least my Central nervous system and brain have not been damaged. I will need to continue taking Gabapentin for the rest of my life. My body has adapted to the medication & I no longer feel sedated. I took physical therapy for an entire year until my insurance would not cover any more treatments. My hand would never regain any more range of motion than 1 year of PT 3 X per week had provided me. I went to 2 more hand surgeons in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. They said they could not reverse the damage. Unfortunately by the time I sought a 3rd physician in Houston 5 years had lapsed since my surgery, - just beyond the statue of limitations for suing a doctor. I can only hope that my story reaches you and prevents other victims of this poorly skilled hand surgeon. GET ANOTHER OPINION - DON'T ENTRUST YOUR LIFE TO THIS BAD DOCTOR. Your hands are invaluable to your quality of life!

Lacks interpersonal skills, utilizes a cookie cutter approach in that she considers all patients cases identical or nearly identical ; lack of responsiveness to patient concerns & inquiries. Ridgid and somewhat closed minded. Misrepresents office visit summaries and has an aura of grandeur that’s quite obvious. Now, her name is Leslie Sisco Wise. Please do not waste your time and money with this Dr.

I would not recommend this doctor. She did not seem to care about what I was saying nor did she do a good job of operating on my limb. She didn't even visit me after the surgery. Another surgeon I saw afterwards confirmed that her work was poor.

Poor surgery skillset and lack of responsiveness to patient concerns.
