Dr. Leslie Norman Trubow

Dr. Trubow was a piece of work back 30 years ago. During a show my daughter broke out in cold sores over face and neck. This was before cell phones. I drove straight to the office and walked in to find Dr. Trubow leaning on the counter I explained and showed him my 4 years face. He told me to go home the office was closed. I went home and paged Dr. Novis who was the senior Dr. In firm. He met me without any questions. Now that's a great person and a even better Dr. Oh did I mention my daughter is a heart patient.

office staff doesn't accurately process referrals. I rec'd unpaid bill in Apr 2009 for Aug 2008 office visit to specialist because Trubow apparently did not correctly process referral. Referral for my son was placed in my daughter's file and thus unavailable. Also, still trying after 6 weeks to get PCP approval for insulin pump for my son to treat type 1 diabetes. Now I know why Trubow was available during open enrollment.

Dr. Trubow seems to have adequate information that he learned in medical school. However, he does not seem to have kept up with recent philosophical changes in infant care. For instance, new information regarding late preterm babies (of which I have). When I talked with him about specific things that my infant had been experiencing due to his preterm birth he instantly waved it off as if I was imagining it. At the hospital were my son was born, the doctors and nurses all seemed to be in agreement on the situation with my late preterm baby. I have seen him twice and both times I left the office feeling very angry at some of the 'advice' he had given us on how to care for our infant son. I think that both me and my husband have differing philosophical opinions on what is good for the child.
