Dr. Leticia Raquel Setrini-Best, MD

I chose Setrini as my OB because she was the only female OB in town, and she seemed very calm and level headed and on board with all of my preferences and wishes for birth. When I showed up in labor, that all went out the window. She c-sectioned me for a mild dip in baby's heart rate in the most violent manner possible without even trying to avoid a procedure that should have been a last resort. Despite being told I could labor in any position I was comfortable (I begged not to be on my back but was forced over anyway) she inserted an internal fetal monitor without even asking myself or my husband's informed consent. She cathed me 3 times (I had no epi/anesthesia per my wishes-the pain was worse than labor itself) because 'it wouldn't go in since baby's head was so low already' and I quote. She lied on the op report TWICE saying she tried to reposition the baby (she did not) and that I was counseled to receive the section when all she said was "we're going to cut you open now" My… husband was dressed in scrubs but then not allowed in the OR-god only knows what they did while I was fully under, 2 years later I still have pain in the left side of my incision that is excruciating during ovulation. Then, when she did my implanon birth control 3 months later, she had the utter gall to tell me she had more practice inserting implanon than she did delivering babies. Unless you're ok with being treated like meat, don't let this woman deliver your baby.

Dr Setrini Best was exactly the kind of dr I needed for what was going on. She explained everything and made herself available for further questions. Her honesty with my situation and how it was her first encounter made me feel more comfortable with her knowing she's not feeding me some text book line. I would recommend her to everyone I know
