Dr. Lettie Marie Burgett, MD

Dr. Burnett is kind and caring. She is a wonderful pediatrician and has been my kids’ pediatrician, now 15 and 17, since the day each of them was born. We love her!!

Awesome doctor. She has been my daughter's doctor since birth. Shaunna just turned 17. We decided to keep the doctor who cared for her while she was a patient in NICU at Torrance Memorial Hospital. We are very pleased with our decision. We never have a problem getting appointments when my daughter is ill. Dr Burgett returns all of our calls and always keeps us informed of any lab or radiology results. She makes my daughter feel at ease and comfortable with all procedures and answers all of her questions. Sad our time with her will be coming to an end next year. We are definitely going to miss her. Dr Burgett will be hard to replace.

Our daughter is now 20yrs old but she often thinks of Dr. Burgett especially since she saved her life 15yrs ago. We absolutely love Dr. Burgett, she is such a caring professional that always made us feel like special. She took the time to listen to all our concerns and we never felt rushed, she provided honest feedback even though it wasn't always what I wanted to hear and we appreciated it. Despite how much time has gone by and how many patients she has seen, she always remembered our daughter Julia, again we felt special. unfortunately we moved away and had to select a new pediatrician but never found someone as caring as her.

THIS IS THE BEST DOCTOR MY CHILDREN EVER HAD. I CHILDREN SAW HER YEARS AGO (91-98) WHEN THEY WERE YOUNG. SHE ALWAYS SEEMED TO CATCH THE LITTLE THINGS THAT I DIDN'T KNOW WAS GOING ON WITH MY CHILDREN. SHE EVEN DIAGNOSED MY SON'S DISEASE THAT WAS SO RARE (RICKETS) THAT NO OTHER DOCTOR WOULD HAVE CAUGHT LIKE SHE DID. SHE EVEN HELPED ME FIND THE HIGH DOSES OF VITAMIN D THAT HE NEEDED IMMEDIATELY. WHEN MY OLDEST SON MICHAEL HAD AN ASTHMA ATTACK IN HER OFFICE, SHE KEPT HIM THERE ALL DAY GIVING HIM TREATMENTS PERSONALLY FOR HOURS ON END. I AM THANKFUL THAT SHE HAS CHOSEN THE PATH THAT HELPS CHILDREN HEAL FROM THE CAUSES OF THEIR AILMENTS. WHEN I MOVED OUT OF THE AREA, DR. BURGETT WAS SURELY MISSED. BUT, I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR THE TIME, PATIENCE, CARING SHE GAVE TO MY 4 CHILDREN AS IF THEY WERE HER OWN.

I went to Dr. Burgett for as far back as I can remember right up until the week of my 18th birthday. She is the best. Her staff are amazing (specifically Pearl, but I'm not sure if she's still working there), and I never had anything less than a great experience. Dr. Burgett even set up an after hours appointment for me when I needed to see her ASAP one day regarding an allergic reaction. She didn't need to stay late to see me, but she did because that is the kind of doctor she is. At each appointment she would not only ask a routine set of medical questions, but she always asked about my grades and personal life and kept track of everything! Whenever I needed to see a specialist she always made sure they were the best and wanted to be kept up-to-date on what was going on. Dr. Burgett encourages her child patients to ask questions and always takes the time to answer them to the best of her ability. As a former patient, I say Dr. Burgett is the best!

Great Doctor

Dr. Tang is my children's primary care physician. They have been outstanding over the last two years in caring for my children. Two months ago, my son had a injury to his finger which turned out to be quite serious. Dr. Burgett saw him and immediately knew there was a major problem. Over the last two months, all of the doctors at Manhattan Beach Kids Docs have been amazing. They have gone beyond the call of duty to get my son the treatment he needs and have done everything in their power to get the referrals to other doctors through immediately even though the paper work is time consuming. They also make the effort to call me to check up on him. Not only are the doctors wonderful, but the office staff is polite and helpful. They always make sure that every sick child is seen by a doctor. In all honesty, if I hadn't have had these doctors to care for my son, I believe he may have lost his finger. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they are. I highly recommend Dr. Tang… and all the doctors at MBKD. You will not find better or more caring doctors in the South Bay.

Dr. Burgett has been my three children doctor since birth. Very excellent doctor. She makes sure that my children are always healthy and on top of everything. She treats my children like her own. If she doesn't see or hear from us, she calls and check on them. There is no other doctor like Dr. Burgett.
