Where many other reputable psychiatrists failed, Dr. Engel was indispensable to my return to work as a professional and to getting a new lease on my life. I was so totally disabled by my mental illness that I had no reason to expect that would ever happen when he accepted me as a new patient. I had to move away, and all I can say is the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles is blessed to have one of the highest echelon professionals for mood disorders. I am forever grateful to him.
