Amazing hand expert. Reassured me that my right hand will heal in 2-3 months (and not 2-3 weeks) after fall on outstretched hand. Disgusting, filthy office. Knocked out with the flu after visiting this office. Please wear mask and gloves when visiting here. No parking anywhere. No valet to valet park. After circling 3 times and asking for valet, someone finally showed up. Appointment was for 10:00 AM. Seen at 10:25 AM.

I made an appointment over a month in advance with Dr. Lane, who had performed my wife's hand surgery, because I wanted to ensure that I received the first appointment of the day. I spoke with Dr. Lane's office five or six times to confirm they had my referral, that they accepted my insurance, and had the records from my prior hand specialist. They called me the night before to confirm my 8:40 am appointment, discussed COVID procedures, and confirmed receipt of my referral and medical records. The next morning, at 7:45 am, I get a call from a doctor I never heard of, from a different city, to confirm that morning's appointment. I called Dr. Lane's office, who said they rescheduled me with another doctor because they don't take Fidelis. I never even heard of Fidelis. Dr. Lane's office never called me about any insurance issue, which I had confirmed three times previously. They never called me to say they referred me to another doctor. They never called me to say they canceled my… appointment with Dr. Lane. I have never experienced such unprofessional treatment.

Dr. Lane took the time to explain thoroughly the operation to be performed on my wrist. I felt very positive about my visit and the upcoming surgery. Thank you Dr. Lane!

I have had five finger operations by Dr. Lewis Lane. He is a consummate physician who takes the time in a calm manner to explain everything in complete detail. Additionally his follow up is very much appreciated. The more I get to know him the more I appreciate his skill and professional demeanor.

Please read this honest account about my unfortunate experience with this doctor. He failed to order the proper tests to arrive at a correct diagnosis. As a result he performed 2 unnecessary surgeries on me and the complications that ensued have ruined my life. Heard, after the fact, that I am not the first that this has happened to. Gives NSLIJ a bad reputation. He should be let go before he injures more patients. Avoid at all costs.

All sizzle, no steak! This MD has great credentials, but extremely poor abilities to manage complex care. The last positive review he has was written over a year ago. He is more interested in getting his consultation fees and salary from nslijhs than performing continuity of care and warranted treatments, care, or needed surgeries. Great credentials, miserable care. Don't waste your time here.

Dr. Lane explained everything in detail, and answered all my questions. Surgery went smoothly, and I didn't have a need for pain medication. I'm seven days post-op Carpal Tunnel release surgery, I can write, move my hand, and haven't experienced any numbing since three days after procedure. I feel great!
