Dr. Leyda Denisse Delgado, MD

Leyda screamed at me during our appointment and accused me of drug seeking behavior after trying to fill my low dose of a muscle relaxer. Mother was there and had to intervene multiple times to try to calm her down. Leyda later apologized for yelling and blamed her “latin heritage” for her aggressive behavior. When i reported her to the board of health she said i was crazy. Dont trust this woman.

Dr Delgado, Leyda used to be my PCP but on every single appointment she acted hurriedly and when the SouthShore wasn't accepting my health insurance anymore I didn't hear anything from her. Even a letter. I was informed over the phone a day before my next appointment with her and that's it! Very disappointed with South Shore Health and Dr Delgado ! I don't recommend both!

Dr. Leyda Delgado was extremely rude to me and unprofessional. I went in to see her for an urgent care visit due to extreme pain I was feeling in my lower stomach, lower back, and pelvis. The pain also ran down my left leg. I was experiencing bleeding even though I take birth control consistently without taking my placebo week and she still tried claiming I was just experiencing a period and refused to do a cervical swab. I explained to her I haven’t had bleeding since being on the birth control and told her multiple times the pain wasn’t cramping it was actual pain and she still disregarded everything I said and claimed it was just my period. She also was getting annoyed with me due to my anxiety and threw her arms up and stood in the middle of the room and said she couldn’t do anything until I relaxed. I later tried asking her a question through MyChart, she claimed she’d send a gynecology referral for me but she never did and she made it so I couldn’t ask her any more questions… through the app. She doesn’t take your health seriously I would highly suggest seeing anyone else. My mother also has a bad experience with her.

Dr Delgado is Outstanding — she Cares deeply about her patients and listens to concerns before diagnosing .

I always felt rushed and judged. I thought we would connect but that didn't happen. I didn't like that she didn't care to build a relationship with me. After all the plan was to stay with her for years. That also didn't happen since she moved to a different location. Customer service should be a priority always.

I have only had Dr DelGado as my primary physician for a couple of years after my primary care doctor of over 30 years retired. He recommended Dr DelGado to me. In 2014, my sister and I believe Dr DelGado saved my life. After a rear-end collision, my back pain started that night and by the next afternoon I couldn't walk without screaming in pain. Two hospital ERs sent me home, claiming that I had only severe muscle and ligament tears. I was taken by ambulance to Dr Delgado's office and rolled in on a gurney. Dr Delgado was the only one actually take the time to figure out what was really wrong. With a raging temperature and blood pressure down to about 70/40, Dr DelGado had me admitted to a hospital. When they determined that it was beyond their expertise, they transferred me to a major BOSTON medical center where I underwent a spinal laminectomy for a MRSA infection. Thank you Dr DelGado.

If you're a normal person and may be 5-7 minutes late do to things you cannot control such as traffic, Dr. DelGado isn't the doctor for you. My follow up appointment was on a rainy Monday morning and I live about two minutes away from the office but traffic was unusually heavy. I got there about 5 minutes late and when the nurse took me in for my vitals and everything else Dr. Delgado storms in the room telling me I'm too late and she can't take me and that I'll have to reschedule. As I tried to explain to her that I was starting a full time job and didn't know when I was available in the near future she completely backed lashed at me before I could finish my thought. She was rude, just because she is a doctor doesn't mean she can treat people like they are below her. I immediately called when I left the office to tell them I wasn't returning because I want a doctor that doesn't yell at me.
