Dr Liana C Gonzalez, MD

Outstanding physician! Dr. Gonzalez has so many of the qualities which make a good doctor. She cares, she really cares when you do not feel well. She listens to what you are saying clearly because when she responds, you know she heard what you said. She listens over time, she recalls your visits, your concerns, your goals. She wants to see you move into health and will offer suggestions. Dr. Gonzalez in addition to these good qualities, is super smart. She can analyze what you are saying to crystalize the issue to the essential elements. Santa Barbara is fortunate to have such a physician. She is mild-mannered, but this should not deceive one into thinking that she is not caring, nor rude, nor intelligent. I have seen her for half a decade and can testify to the fact that she has helped me beyond measure.

The appointment felt rushed, only spent a few minutes with me. I was not happy with my visit. Guess I’ll keep searching for a doctor.

I have seen Dr. Gonzalez 2 times in 3 years, I think she is an excellent Dr. taking the time for a thorough exam and patiently answers questions or concerns, I also think the staff is fantastic!! Thank You All

Does not think things through or listen fully. Still gave me an immunization even though I stated concerns due to having documented allergic reactions to them.

Dr. Gonzalez has been a great doctor. She is thorough and analytical, and is able to communicate well. She responds quickly to emails and goes above and beyond for patients. It is clear that she cares about her patients and that delivering the highest quality service.

My experience with Dr. Gonzalez has been very good. She is very thorough and communicates well. She listens to ALL the patient has to say and if she does not have the solutions or answers to questions, she will research and get back to you. Very prompt in replying to email inquiries as well. Her knowledge and credibility continue to grow each year. I fully trust her and feel comfortable speaking with her about the intimate matters of my health.

Did not like this doctor

Comes across as cold and slightly abrasive. Poor bedside manner. There are better general practice doctors out there.

At first visit she may have a stand offish demeanor, which is normal for good scientist and doctors now of days. Then you realize that she is analyzing the issues with full attention to detail which is rare in a lot of doctors I have seen throughout the years. Over time she will build report, so many folks grade these doctors on bedside manners and doctors willing to break out the pen and prescription pad.
