Dr. Libia C. Moy, MD

Very dismissive in her approach to treating my child’s complaint, took my child to another doctor and discovered there was an actual problem, which is now being treated. Terrible experience left my child suffering for months

I see a LOT of doctors. NYU generally has wonderful physicians. But Dr. Moy is certainly NOT one of them. First, we were kept waiting for 50 minutes (which is long for a 2 year old!) and she didn't even acknowledge or apologize for that, as most would. Then, she called us in, didn't wait for us to get to the door and we couldn't find her or anyone to lead us where we were supposed to go. When we got to the room, Dr. Moy didn't really greet us and didn't introduce herself-- I wasn't even sure if that was her! Her bedside manner is atrocious, cold, and just plain weird. I've honestly never had this kind of experience with a doctor in all my 42 years on this planet. And when dealing with someone who's supposed to care for my toddler? Yeah. NOPE. Not only can I not believe this woman is a doctor but a doctor for children? Absolutely bizarre.

We saw a few GI specialist for our little 2 month old until we found Dr. Moy, she was extremely knowledgeable, sweet and helped our little one when other doctors only made her worse. Would definitely recommend!

I totally agreed with all the one star comments. She has split personalities she will treat you well according to the specific child/parent. No compassion whatsoever. She should be fired. I don’t know who she think she is

I would not want to have my daughter with down syndrome see anyone else. My son as a teen developed a GI issue and I immediately looked for Dr Moy.

Dr. Moy is the exact opposite of what a parent would want in their child's doctor. She's rude, not compassionate nor sympathetic to either the suffering of the child or parent. She apparently thinks she's too important to familiarize or remember patient history or information and gets angered when reminded of such details. She's smug and has a terrible bedside manner. I would avoid this physician and find someone who's in the field to care for patients and families, which obviously judging by her demeanor, is not what her interest is.

For a physician who works with children, and especially children with specific needs other than general peds, you would think that this doctor would be sensitive to the family, who is already nervous about their child's health. This is not the case. Dr. Moy has awful bedside manner and little to no knowledge on manners.

Unprofessional, disrespectful, and downright rude. This doctor should be avoided at all costs. How dare she get angry with a mother for showing concern for her infant son, then not even be familiar enough with his case to give accurate information. I hope this review makes other parents think twice about visiting this doctor.

This doctor is rude and condescending to patients. Definitely avoid. I was so upset, I will be writing a letter to the medical director.

I would never recommend Dr. Moy to any parents. She performed a colonoscopy and never followed through. She does not know her stuff and she has terrible bed side manners. I would prefer not to give her any stars but this site would not accept until I select at least one star for rating.
