Dr. Lijia Zhu, MD

If you're not pregnant she doesn't care. I've been in pelvic pain for a year. Doesn't listen tell you oh it's not gynecology it's GI issues. Well guess what it was? Endometriosis!! So it was Gynecological. I wouldn't recommend her only to have a baby.

Dr. Zhu cares about all her patients, she listens and also gives her opinions from her professional perspective. She is always there for her patients even if she is not on-call. Once the patients were in labor, she would be there to take care of them. What can we ask for more? A dedicated, professional and compassionate doctor! I don’t find her English has any problem to understand. She speaks perfect English as well as Chinese.

Dr zhu is a very bad doctor i have ever had in my life!!. She is mean and unknowledgeable ,and her English is very hard to understand!!!. She doesnt listen to her patient....she too much more than to listen to her patients. She tells you stories and her plan of treatments and she forgot that she told you that. .left her her office with disappointment. I will not recommend this doc to any body

I absolutely adore Dr Zhu. She is very attentive and knowledgeable.

Professional, dedicated, genuine and hard working; these qualities best describe Dr. Lijia Zhu, Ob/Gyn practicing doctor at Beaumont Oakwood Canton. Never once, have I second guessed my decision in regards to who would help guide me through my pregnancy and delivery of my first child. Dr. Lijia Zhu has repeatedly gone above and beyond when it has come to the health and care of her patients, including myself. The patient-doctor relationship is key in delivering high quality healthcare. Over the years, we have established a respectable rapport, mutual respect, knowledge and trust with one another. There is no other doctor who I would want to share in my next pregnancy and delivery. When I learned that she would help deliver my first born child, no matter what time of day or day of the week, I was beyond impressed. This showed her level of understanding in regards to the patient-doctor relationship. Recently, I was back in her office for my second pregnancy. Although the… pregnancy started off as normal in the charts, it quickly emerged into a threatening case of miscarriage. Over the course of several days, I was seen in her office and unfortunately, lost the baby. Dr. Lijia Zhu and her staff were remarkably supportive and consoling through this experience! Dr. Lijia Zhu responded to my late night phone call into the answering service with understanding and relevance. She continued to go above and beyond in regards to the process of my miscarriage, helping fit me into her already tight schedule because she knew the importance of maintaining the patient-doctor relationship. I commend her for that! The fact that she cared so deeply for me as her patient, helped me form my opinion of her as a best-practice doctor. I have absolute confidence in the fact that Dr. Lijia Zhu will continue to help guide me through my future pregnancies and all other Ob/Gyn concerns!

I've been going to Dr. Zhu since before I had children. Now, with pregnancy number 3, I'm still going to see Dr. Zhu for her honesty, friendliness, and because she cares for her patients (moms and babies).

Dr. Zhu has been my ob/gyn for the past 7 years and delivered all 3 of my children via. cesarean. I wouldn't have changed my choice of doctor at all. Dr. Zhu has always been understandable, supportive, caring and an amazing doctor. Any time I had a concern, she always provided me with comforting information. Such an amazing doctor.

I has an emergency situation and I was able to get an appointment the very next day. Her took her time to properly diagnosis me and to see the best treatment for my issue. Dr. Zhu and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable I felt very comfortable in their hands. I had to follow up with her on Monday which they were booked but they found and place to squeeze me in. I would recommend her to everyone. Thanks Dr. Zhu.

I have seen Dr. Lija Zhu for OB/GYN services for almost ten years now. I donâ??t know if I have the words to describe the excellent care she has provided me over the years. I donâ??t think of her as my doctor, instead I consider her family. She started my care before children and has always been efficient, and thorough. She has taken the time out of her overbooked day to ensure my medical needs are being met, not just for gynecological issues, but all other aspects of my health. Five years ago, I became pregnant with my first son. I was terrified! Dr. Zhu took me under her care, and ensured that I and my unborn child were in perfect health. Her professionalism and compassion make her an invaluable asset. When I was exposed to a Carbon Dioxide leak at work, I was cleared in the emergency room, who had reached out to Dr. Zhu to let her know what was going on. She insisted that I come upstairs to the maternity ward so she could check on me herself, she ended up admitting me to the… hospital, and honestly she was the ONLY doctor who came to check on me. I swear over the whole 48-hour ordeal of hospitalization she did not leave my side. She came up with a plan just in case things didnâ??t improve. She never once made me doubt that I was with the best of the best. To be cautious even though she had cleared, me she continued to monitor my progress directly until I gave birth. The type of care she provided in such a trying time is something I will never forget. She delivered my son after an eventful labor, that eventually led her to make the decision to have a c-section immediately. Again through my hospitalization she bonded with my family. I always laugh thinking she must live at the clinic or the hospital! How she has time to provide the high level of patient care she provides and has her own family blows my mind! After having my son, Dr. Zhu diagnosed me with PCOS, she has never in my many visits rushed. No matter how busy the office is, or how hectic the day is she never seems frazzled, and gives me a level of service that seems as if I am her only patient. She has personally performed surgeries for me, instead of referring me to another doctor. She provides all of my gynecological care, and helps me realize that my dreams and goals are possible with her help. The care we had previously received at Oakwood, for my son was horrible. We actually left and got rid of all of our Oakwood doctors, except for Dr. Zhu. She is the ONLY reason I go to Oakwood, if it was not for her, I, nor anyone in my family would go to Oakwood for care. I live fairly close to Annapolis, and other then Dr. Zhu procedures, I would rather drive an hour in an emergency for care, then send myself or my family to the hospital. I also have to praise the staff at Dr. Zhuâ??s office, the nurses have always been so helpful over the phone and accommodating to ensure I was able to get the care I needed, or answer my questions no matter how ridiculous they were. The medial assistants are thorough and caring. Other than Dr. Zhu, at this office I have to praise Stacey. Her customer service, outstanding memory, compassion, kindness, and determination are outstanding. I have been visiting her for as long as I have been seen by Dr. Zhu and she is the most comforting and helpful person I know. If Dr. Zhu were to ever leave Oakwood, I would follow her practice. I hope her diligence, intelligence and compassion are recognized. She is a truly amazing woman, that I am lucky enough to not only call my doctor but my family.

I had have had nothing but the best experience with Dr. Zhu she is very professional wonderful doctor she has delivered 3 of my 5 grandchildren and each time has been a amazing journey she also has been my ob for 3 years if she's ever in doubt she will set up the proper testing I can't say enough about her truly one of the best doctors I have ever had it has been a blessing to have her as my doctor
