Dr. Liliane Laurence Lebas, MD

She won’t listen she will attack any feeling or comment you have she feels superior and thinks that her time is more precious than anything in the world! She’s also very ignorant. Don’t waste your time with her!

I honestly blame myself for not heading the other one star reviews. Dr. Lebas is INCREDIBLY unprofessional. I actually felt unsafe at times. I went in for severe depression and felt dismissed constantly. I came for my second visit to hopefully be prescribed new antidepressants, and she told me I was wrong about my antidepressants not working (the ones I have been on for YEARS) and that if the didn't work, she would have prescribed me medicine our first visit. That's untrue, as she told me visit one she "wanted to get to know" me better before she gave me medicine. Don't ever trust a doctor who says that when they know you are in the middle of SEVERE depression with no working antidepressants. This second visit, when I asked about side effects to the drug she prescribed, she said there were none. Later, she decided to tell me mania IS a side effect of the drug. When I asked why she didn't tell me earlier, she said "there are too many side effects to talk about." And then when I said… that she as my doctor should probably tell me the side effects of the medicine she prescribed and asked why she decided to tell me about mania after saying there were no side effects, she said "do you want to argue or do you want the information?" From the first visit I did not feel she was qualified but I decided to really give it an honest chance. For someone whose patients have delicate mental health, she is the bull in the china shop and then pretends it was all in my head and that she did nothing to exacerbate my deteriorating mental status. I will NOT be returning. I pray, please, PLEASE see a different psychiatrist other than Dr. Lebas. Let my mistake be your gain.

Ironically, Dr. LeBas works in healthcare, but shows almost no care or compassion for patients. Her manner is abrupt, if not rough, which is never good in her chosen specialty which involves working with the most vulnerable. In sum, save yourself now. Avoid this medical 'professional' at all costs. You'll be grateful you did.

Review to her due to a major episode in life. She worked with me to get me back to handling normal day to activities and set me for my future progress.
