I am a 76 year old male. Retired Law Enforcement Officer. I also have type 2 Diabetes. Dr Placherial is a very through, professional, who take the time to take a complete medical history. And gives a plain to work on, to help with all my problems related to Diabetes. She is one of a kind in a solo practice, who really cares about the overall health of her clients. My husband has seen Dr. Placheril since 2000 and has been wonderful in helping him control his diabetes. She also includes me in his care. In addition she monitors my thyroid problem. She spends whatever time is needed to answer questions and put our minds at ease.

Communication in the office was never friendly, not giving adequate instructions when sending me for tests, requiring that I had to go twice for my tests. I will not go back there and my A1C will probably be affected by the inability to get insulin leaving me with levels over400 for 6 days. So disappointed.

Dr. Placheril has been my doctor for 20 years and I could not ask for a better doctor for my Type I Diabetes. I had been seeing a different Endocrinologist but was not well-controlled the entire time. I was referred to Dr. Placheril as she had begun her practice in Bradenton. Since Dr. Placheril has been my doctor, I have continued to be well-controlled. She spends the necessary time with me every time I visit and answers all questions that I have. Any time that I have needed something specific from the office I have been able to receive it (given the necessary time to get it). She is an expert in her area to me, and I have referred to her myself!

This woman should NOT be allowed to practice medicine. She has a horrendous bedside manner and doesn't know proper testing for hypothyroidism!

THIS DOCTOR HERDS YOU IN AND OUT LIKE AN ANIMAL! SHE DOES AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE, AND HER ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS IS USUALLY ONE OR TWO WORDS. IF DR PLACERIL HAS NO ANSWER, SHE HAS NEVER ONCE OFFERED TO FIND OUT, LOOK IT UP, OR DO ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT WHAT COULD TURN OUT TO BE A REAL PROBLEM FOR THE PATIENT ENTRUSTING THEIR LIFE TO HER CARE. HER STAFF IS EXACTLY THE SAME! THEY TAKE NO TIME TO BE KIND OR HELPFUL... AND NATALIE IS TOTALLY RUDE AND CONDESCENDING!

I had to choose an endocrinologist when I moved here in 2002 and she has been an eellent choice for me. She has taken the time to explain my situation since surgery which I had before I came and it has been nice learning more about what did happen to me. Thank you Mrs. Placeril.
