Dr. Lin Huang, MD

My husband had a colonoscopy at 4pm and apparently had some complications that required some additional aspiration and medication. No one communicated this with me and my husband who walked in completely normal walked out of this routine procedure throwing up, 102 fever and horrible shakes. Upon immediately calling the facility they were of course closed as it was now 5:00. The on call doctor did call us but unfortunately she couldn’t see his information. We requested the doctor to call us and the next day a nurse called, not even the doctor. No information was given and we will be filing complaints as there is no way he left the facility without a fever and of course nothing was kn the discharge paperwork. Don’t ever see him.

Dr Huang has been my gastroenterologist for ten years, and he is the first to make me actually comfortable with procedures...

The most arrogant and insensitive staff I have ever dealt with. As another reviewer put it, if you want to wait 2 hours for a 10 minute appointment then this is the place. I also lost my insurance for a few months in between jobs, and was told to come back when I was insured. The office manager also decides who gets appointments based on you billable availability. I also noticed I was seeing less and less of Dr. Huang. I was shoved off to his assistant my last two visits without so much as an explanation. Please note I am not rating Dr. Huang himself. He is a good physician. However, The front office/admin staff at the Puyallup clinic could take a few lessons in customer service and compassion. I've taken my business elsewhere as it seems money and billing are there only priority. Please shop around. There ARE other options.

Dr. Huang is a great doctor, really smart and helpful and always thinking about the best interest of the patient. However, if you have an issue and need to get something or any follow-up, you could go several days before getting a call back from his people at the Puyallup office of Digestive Health.
