Dr. Lina Sergeevna Gourova, MD

Run, don't walk away from this. I was given life threatening wrong medical advice. I even followed up with multiple emails about an allergic reaction she claimed I was allergic to a virus and ran 0 test. Hives kept on raising until I ended up in the er admitted for the hives. I was told to take a zrytec and benadryl. Wrong information was given to me on my telephone video appointment and she was defensive. This is not a good doctor .

Dr. Gourova has been my physician of choice for a decade. She is better than my experience with Stanford and Georgetown physicians who came before her...over a 40 year period. She is methodical; she misses nothing. She is analytical; she doesn't jump to diagnostic conclusions, but gathers copious amounts of data...first and foremost. Her manner is consistent: 'cool, calm, and collected'. When other specialties need to be consulted, she does not hesitate to send her patients to them. The result is the best medical care that I have ever had-despite challenges such as cancer, knee replacements, and diabetes. I don't have the slightest hesitation in recommending her to the entire Kaiser population.

Dr. Gourova is a terrible doctor. My mother had a burst appendix over 2 years ago, at which point they discovered lumps in her stomach but did not bother to inform her of this. 2 years later, my mom went to the doctor with severe side pain, and was informed of the lumps in her stomach. It was finally decided that the lumps should be biopsied, and sure enough, it's cancer. Now my mother may die because of the irresponsible actions of Dr. Gourova. I was a patient of hers before, and switched after receiving poor care. I urged my mother to switch doctors as well, but she did not. If my mother dies, better believe she will be sued along with the surgeon who was consulted 2 years ago when the lumps were discovered.

Being a nurse I tend to be very aware of my medical treatment. She is excellent. Kind manner and lots of patients, best of all she knows what she is doing and that is a major comfort.

Dr. Gourova is, without question, the most thorough and analytical physician with whom I have ever placed my trust.She is patient, kind, and exhibits those characteristics thatare most sought after as a doctor; namely, competent andcapable. Dr. Gourova is consistent in the application of herhealing arts and talents, and she is a consummate professional of the highest rank. It is indeed rare to find a physician whodemonstrates diagnostic excellence as well as possessing abedside manner that would be the envy, I think, of mostdoctors.
