Dr Linda S. Chen, MD

On all my visits to Dr. Chen she was always very understanding, very attentive to all the details of the problems I have, and gave me the best medical care I've ever experienced. I think she's an excellent neurologist. Thank you, Dr. Chen!

When I asked Dr Chen questions, about new changes in my MRI’s, her answers were always that she didn’t know. A couple years later, I found out myself that the changes were in the dementia area of my brain. She was also giving me Botox for migraines. At a Botox appointment, I told her after that, I didn’t want any more shots. She wasn’t happy about me wanting to stop getting the Botox from her. That last Botox treatment that day was 100 times more painful, than I ever had, in the last two years! It was obvious that she was trying to hurt me more. Afterwards I told her I just wanted to continue on the same migraine medicine that I had been on for the last 20 years, always with the same dose. She wrote on my chart for all my doctors to read, that I was over using my medication, (and not saying what medication, she said I was abusing!) She made it look like I was an addict using a drug too much, and wanting more! I still was taking my regular migraine medicine, with the Botox. I told her… that I only wanted to use the same migraine medication I was on for years. I never asked for more, or extra, or a higher dose. I just wanted the same thing that I had for years. There was no drug abuse, but she put that out there for everyone to see in my records!! In the past I had to go to the hospital when my migraines were too unbearable. Dr. Chen offered me morphine suppositories when that happened. She gave me a large amount per refill, and I let her know twice, I didn’t need that much. So twice she took the amount lower. Finally I had her give me only three, because they were getting wasted! I hadn’t asked her for any more for many months, and it was obvious I wasn’t abusing them! Then she put in my chart a big red circle with a line going through it, with the word morphine in it. That showed doctors a lie, and made me look like I was abusing morphine! And for no one to ever give me any more! The truth was the opposite! I let her know I would not ever come back again! Her last comment to me was, “I bet you have been lying all this time! You probably only have a very small headache sometimes when you wake up.” I turned around and left the room saying nothing. She was dishonest about me, in my records after I left for the last time. I have MS, Degenerate Disk disease, 70% back disabled from a hard fall, Osteoarthritis bad in my neck, hips, knees, shoulders, and spine with a large amount of splintering down my spine. I have Fibromyalgia, and my gastric system is paralyzed, my saliva glands stopped working, I chock on my food, and my irritable bowel disorder leaves me in bad cramps daily, along with bad cramping and pain all over my body from my MS. I could go on, but I will spare you! Save yourself heartbreak and pain and never go see her????

My daughter had a seizure in the lobby, and her nurses were making a joke. "they hadn't seen a seizure in a while" my daughter felt embarrassed. Having epilepsy is bad enough without being made fun of. She made a complaint, HIPPA code was violated, the nurse that saw her have the episode told her partner and everyone in the office heard. Now my daughter's appointments with Dr Chen have been canceled and she refused to re fill her medications. Her epilepsy medication!!!! The office staff is a joke, no one can tell her why her appointments were canceled and now she is being referred out to another doctor who knows nothing about epilepsy, Dr Chen is suppose to be an epilepsy doctor, how can she cancel her appointment and not refill her meds. Guess the good doctor forgot her Hippocratic Oath!! First do no harm.. such a shame!!!!!

Dr. Chen looked at my records and listened very carefully. She is very kind and caring. Samsun has the best doctors, I don't understand medical, but she does-so I don't have to, not that I'm uneducated-its that she is super educated. She even turned of those bright lights for me. I have never had a medical doctor do that. I do recommend her, I have a hard time with medicine, and she listened and she offered care at a level I could handle.

Save your time and find another doctor. She is unloving, won’t listen to your needs, and can be very unkind. She is not good at her follow up care, and you will leave her office feeling terrible and offen offended and hurt!

In to much of a hurry. She had my medication list, but still managed to type the list wrong in her computer. Faxed the wrong medications to the pharmacy or forgot to do it. Half of the time, I do not think she agreed or listened to what I was saying.

After seeing her for 3 years, I still cannot trust her to do anything. I ask her to fax all of my medications, she forgets two of them. I must go home and check to see if the Pharmacy got them. If they didn't, I must make several calls to get it done. What ever else she didn't do I must do. She is the doctor, why must I do the work. She is in too much of a hurry. Half of the time I don't think she hears what I say or reads what is on the computer.

Dr. Chen has been treating me for severe migraines with Botox for several years now with excellent results. She also treated me for my seizure disorder that I incurred following a workmen's comp accident. I have now recovered from those but I have elected to NOT drive anymore. It's better to be safe than sorry and I would NEVER want to hurt anyone.
