Dr. Linda Natalie Figen, MD

Before seeing Dr. Figen I suffered a severe nervous breakdown. Within a half hour of talking with her I was diagnosed and placed on the right medication the first time without having to try many before one worked as with other doctors. Dr. Figen is one of the best medical providers I have had, she makes you feel comfortable and welcome and provides excellent care. If you suffer from anxiety, panic, OCD, or ptsd she is the one to see.

Dr. Figen is clearly one of the finest psychiatrists in practice inmy area and we are blessed to haveher here helping when needed. I havebeen seeing Dr. Figen for a number ofyears off and on and she has not onlysaved my life but helps me manage myepisodic depression and generalized anxiety every step of the way with botheffective medicines and excellent psychotherapy. I cannot recommend herhighly enough.

These days when it seems that medical care is so impersonal, it is a wonderful surprise to find a doctor who really listens and cares about you. She is kind and really smart at the same time. I'm so glad I found her. She has really helped me.

My experience with Dr. Figen was strange and abusive. Dr. Figen was my psychiatrist for a short trial period after I moved into town. We didn't really "hit it off," as I felt uncomfortable speaking with her, and intimidated and judged by her responses to me. I wrote it off as just a lack of confluence between personalities, which happens between professional health providers and patients from time to time--no biggie. I decided to seek another psychiatrist, one who would "fit" better with my needs and comfort level. I payed for my last session, and informed her office that I would be seeking psychiatric help elsewhere. Dr. Figen called me at home the next day, and spoke to me in a manipulative and abusive manner. She told me I was "cowardly," and a "disappointment." She said that if I left her office, I would never look forward to a healthy, happy life and would suffer from crippling depression the rest of my days. I began crying into the phone, and she mocked me for this too. Suddenly… her voice began to quaver, I could tell she was beginning to realize what she was doing and how terrible it was, and she hung up on me. It was a revenge call for discontinuing her services and seeking help elsewhere, and she was attempting to use my depression and low self-esteem to, quite literally, bully me back into her office. It was sick, unprofessional and very disturbing. I am very relieved and delighted to read that no others have had the same upsetting and confusing experience that I had with Dr. Figen. It has taken me years to tell people about this--I'm sure it's far to late to seek any recourse or action now, and I wouldn't want to seek such a vindictive course of action anyway. All I wish to do is warn others about my experience.

Dr. Figen is a gem. You simply cannot find many doctors like this anymore. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a delightful personality. I only wish I could see her for all of my medical needs.

Dr. Figen is is a person you don't find every day. She is kind, understanding and caring.
