Dr. Linda Ellen Jaffe, MD

pretty simple, I would not recommend this cardiologist I didn't even get to see the doctor. I called ahead and set an apt for 1-2 weeks out, I was called the night before and left a voicemail saying the doctor had a schedule change and they rescheduled my apt for 1 month later!!!! I called to ask why I had to wait another month when I already had an apt and was simply told that it is the first available apt she had..... if you enjoy dealing with situations like this then by all means schedule your appointments with them, but be forewarned.

Have no idea why she is still employed here. Everyone who is employed at the Heart Institute knows how rude she is. She was upset and screamed at me during the entire appointment. When I told one of the MA's she said sounds like her she is very opinionated. Don't waste your time unless you like being verbally abused.

Dr, Jaffe is prob the worst doctor I have ever seen. She had an attitude and said she had a bad a day bc her patients thought they knew more than she does. But Dr. Jaffe seems to have a lot of misconceptions. For one she believes that stents will prevent heart attacks and that is not true. They will not prolong your life but are usually placed when someone has angina or shortness of breath. She thinks women and men have the same issues when it comes to heart disease and this is not true. Women are worst off bc they have arterial stiffness after menopause and their plaque is flat where men's is spiked. She became irate when I wasn't in her words not bothered by my Cardiac CT results but I guess she doesn't know that the test yields a 50 % false positive result. Her and her nurse kept pushing the stents even though I told her I didn't want stents. I told her I would rather have open heart surgery and she screamed at me -you don't want open heart surgery. Needless to say I… will not be going back to her.

Was already thrown off when the office door wouldn’t open, the receptionist had to come open the door after knocking, finally see a nurse which I called ahead to see if I could fill out paperwork before hand, and was told no. The nurse asked me a million questions even though my primary sent over everything. The doctor walks in and starts drilling me over what over the counter medicine i take, when I took it, shaking her head at me, huffing and puffing, looking at her phone continuously. Then tells me my story pretty much didn’t line up because I went to visit my pcp and she didn’t have those notes from that visit. Yet my referral from my pcp didn’t just magically appear out of nowhere. Luckily I had an extra summary from the day she made me feel like I was lying to her about. So moral of the story is I go in, to check on a heart condition I have, which my pcp wanted to get an echocardiogram for, to her drilling me for 5 minutes about taking allergy medications I’m prescribed that I… should know better than to take those, I’ve been to many doctors and not one has ever belittled me since clearly, I am not a doctor nor know any better & nothing was even talked about with my heart condition once so ever. I was told to come back. Thanks but no thanks. Thankfully I already saw another cardiologist before her and she was my second opinion. Feel free to see her if you want to feel belittled, treated like an idiot, and that you’re wasting her time. Probably will cause your blood pressure to go up.

RIGHT IN TOP OF YOUR HEALTH AND HEART NEEDS

After hearing through the wall Dr. Jaffee "snapping" at a nurse because I did not know the name of the med I was prescribed the day before, her bedside manner did not get any better when she entered the room I was waiting in to be seen by her. It was my first time seeing a cardiologist and the first time I was prescribed a medication. She was suggested to me by the staff when I made an appt. for "The Orlando Heart Institute". Boy...let me tell you what a gem she is with her I am better than you snappy attitude. I hardly heard anything she said to me because of the way she presented the information. Awfull!!!!! Absolutely awful experience!
