Dr. Sung put neglected to suggest a treatment change, supplements I should be taking, and next steps each time we saw her. If I didn’t come in with suggestions from friends, I would have been doing the same planned intercourse for 10 months. It felt as though it was a factory and she was in over her head. Also, there was a disconnect with the NYU nurses and her as I would be always awaiting a call back from her when I had questions. If you treat with her be sure to know what to ask for or question what is next. I’m so glad I switched.

Her tone and the way she speaks you is demeaning and nasty. On multiple occasions she became argumentative, dismissive, and passive aggressive when asked for a treatment plan. In addition, her diagnosis and treatment plan did not match or make sense. I switched to another doctor who said the protocol and tests she ran were insane and awful. The new doctor treated both my friends who became pregnant after wasting a year with Dr. Sung.

At first Dr. Sung seems like she is thorough and a intelligent doctor, yet after your second or third appointment you will soon notice that she does not know your case and confuses you with others, needs suggestions to make a plan of action, and if you really need treatment/mediation you must be on top of her otherwise they will string you along for a long ride and you will get lost in the abyss. When she told me 11 months in that my hormone levels were too high, I asked what was high and when were the levels to be round high, she became extremely combative and told me she told me this from the very beginning and even rolled her eyes. Please look elsewhere.

I never write reviews but I feel compelled to save others from the emotional hardship I went through under Dr. Sung's care for the past year. After being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease of the placenta and 3 failed pregnancies (one 19 week loss and 2 chemical pregnancies) I was referred to her. After a consultation with her (she looked at her computer the whole time and hardly even looked me in the eye), I was advised to come in for weekly blood work and other testing. I will keep this brief: One of the lab tests I had completed under her care pointed to another autoimmune condition: this time of the thyroid, which I never knew I had. She NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT THE RESULTS. I was able to see my results on the patient portal but the portal does not show reference ranges, and I erroneously assumed my doctor would tell me if there was a problem with my lab work. 8 months later, I found out again I was pregnant. Unfortunately my thyroid levels were completely deranged. She started… me (it felt retroactively) on a thyroid medication, but unfortunately a few days later, I miscarried this one too. My thyroid levels had not had enough time with the medication to normalize. I was so confused and hurt and went through my patient portal to look at the past year's lab results and found on my own that I had positive antibodies to my thyroid. I was horrified at this blatant malpractice. DONT ORDER LAB RESULTS YOU DONT LOOK AT!! I will not go so far to say that this negligence alone led to my chemical pregnancy, but I am sure deranged thyroid levels did not help my cause either. Her office is a factory, an endless assembly line of lab results and ultrasounds, but for what purpose. My advice- find another reproductive endocrinologist, one with a goal driven mindset to helping you have a baby.

Dr. Sung was very professional and warming. She made me automatically feel comfortable and welcomed in her care. She made me do testing and sono to insure I was going to be physically ready and able to carry my child. You can't blame a Doctor if you don't become pregnant, it's the way your body reacts to your individual pregnancy. You can only try again, or try another option. Dr. Sung would help you out with different options that would help you hopefully reach your ultimate goal in having a child.

Went here for 5 months and still hadn’t even discussed a serious treatment option. Just test after test (which other doctors have said some were unnessary). Constant appointments for blood and sono although these results are not discussed or seemingly ever looked at. Long wait times. Even blood and sono was a 2 hour appointment. Nurses didn’t know my chart or even why I was there most of the time. Different answers from different nurses on the same question. Randomly had medications prescribed to my pharmacy which were never discussed. I called the office to ask further information on the prescription and they swore they didn’t give a prescription. However, the pharmacy was very clear that it was prescribed by Dr. Sung. One time went in for one of the unnecessary tests (endometrial biopsy) and after waiting 2 hours and paying a copay, they told me they were unable to do the procedure. They are disorganized, dishonest, and seemingly in it for the money. Although I only spoke with… doctor Sung for about a total of 10 minutes in my 5 months there, I specifically remember her stating “you have great insurance!” Initially I had thought that was meant to make me feel better but upon getting to know the practice, I think it was more about what she would be able to get out of my insurance. I switched to a practice with a doctor that actually seems to care and have already done an IUI cycle within one month at the new practice. Please don’t waste your time and energy here. Infertility is hard enough.

I felt very disapointed with Dr Sung, I was not doing the fertility program I was going for hormonal issues and she didn't follow it with my GYN after 2 hrs 1/2 waiting in her office ... she wasn't prepare to take care my problem. I think it was because I wasn't doing the fertility program she didn't really take care of me.

Dr. Sung is very nice and although she works hard to accomplish your goal of wanting to get pregnant, I found out from 3 separate independent doctors from 3 different hospitals that she should have stopped IVF attempts due to my previous failed pregnancy (baby's chromosome defective and didn't grow) that I should have looked into an egg donor. Also my age is 46 and every doctor that I went to said I'm too old to use my eggs without chancing a very bad deformity or not even getting pregnant. Dr. Sung never mentioned that I should go for egg donor and instead kept on using my insurance which is limited and once used up that would have been it. I feel cheated by wasting 2 years with her, not being informed from the beginning about other safer and better chances in getting pregnant. Even my insurance company (NYSHIP) dropped them as a "Center for Excellence". Reproductive Specialists of NY even sent 2 letters out to patients who's insurance company's dropped them, telling them to not… leave and continue services and all would be resolved. Well, if you did continue treatment, you would have to pay out of pocket because your insurance company told you they were no longer in-network. Imagine an enormous bill of thousands of dollars AND you still are not pregnant....shame on them for just taking your insurance money knowing your odds are better in winning the lottery.
