She really helped me after I had surgery to ensure my scar was healing correctly. I highly recommend her.

No time spent listening to the patient. Poor bedside manner. No interest in curing the patients problem skin complaint. Very unprofessional. A mediocre skin doctor.

I saw Dr. Hicks for a proscribed annual all-body inspection; due to a melanoma lesion on the bottom of my foot that was removed years earlier. During the exam with Dr. Hicks I pointed out two warts on my fingers. She immediately offer to remove the warts. I asked that would be covered as part of the exam. She said that it would be covered within this office visit, but that if I came back to have them removed it would be a separate charge. I asked about the cost of removing a Lipoma, which she said would be done in a separate surgical visit. She said she did not know the cost. She repeated that the Lipoma would be charged for a surgical visit, but that if I had the warts (sprayed) removed in this office visit that there would not be an additional charge. I received a bill for the removal of the warts on one finger. I called my health insurance company and Dr. Hicks office to let them know that Dr. Hicks had assured me there would be not charge other than the 50. copay for the… office visit. In addition the treatment was excessive and the area had a 1/2' high blood blister by the next morning. I had had a wart removed years earlier by the same cryo-method and had a low normal blister. The blood and size of the blister was alarming. I Dr. Hicks to ask if I should come in to have the area treated. Her nurse handled the call, unsympathetically saying " Well if your finger swells to twice its size, then you can come in to have it looked at." I have years of experience with physicians and have never witnessed misleading a patient with an undisclosed charge, and callous lack of care for patient welfare.
