Wouldn’t recommend! She was not nice at all, very dismissive and didn’t want to hear or be bothered. Definitely not what you would expect from a doctor. I’ve never had such an awful experience in my life. I left the office feeling f very upset.

Bedside Manner was distant & cold. Rushed. Didn't want to explain.

Dr Metcalf was dismissive of my symptoms and acted quite stuck up. Ordered a blood test that I just had which I showed no symptoms for. Thankfully I was diagnosed by a different doctor and will not go back to Dr Metcalf.

Well woman exam consisted of a Pap smear, a quicker than normal pelvic exam, (insert two fingers and push on pelvic area twice asking if it hurts and then done) instructions (if you call them that) on how to do your own breast exam as one is not performed by her and asks your family history for breast cancer, asks if you want STD testing, and that's pretty much it. Not even any discussion on health and nutrition or anything similar that would be expected at a well woman visit. In my initial visit with her to get things started, I had taken the time to previously write (by hand) down my family medical history, my period history and any relevant information to be placed in my chart so that there would be better diagnosing and I would not forget anything. She never referred to it or even glanced at it. When I followed her out afterwards she had me wait for a second so she could grab the lab work paper for me to give the.lab technician. When she walked over to grab that piece of paper I… saw that she literally threw away the notes I gave her. Her bedside manner is poor, acted like it was an inconvenience for her to see me, with both appointments I have had so far. I needed a PCP referral to see a Dermatologist so at least I have gotten that much. My impression and my husbands impression resulted in the same conclusion that she seemed to feel inconvenienced, wasn't really listening to what I had to say and did not take a genuine interest in any of my health concerns, thus dismissing everything I would say, and for a well woman exam appointment it felt rushed...meaning from the time I checked in at the front desk until the time I left the doctors office took 30-45 minutes tops. This was an appointment that was before 8 am with receptionists still coming for work and probably around five patients total (totally not busy). The receptionist who checked me in was nice, friendly and courteous and so was the nurse who called me back and took my vitals before seeing the doctor. Dr. Metcalf either needs a different career field, retraining on genuine bedside manner and care about her patients, or something.

I have a rare disease, my last Dr was not interested in finding out about it... Dr. Metcalf admitted not knowing much about it, but has been very willing to,learn and make referrals as needed. She is an amazing Doctor.

I am always treated like she is burdened that she has to see me. Will cut off when u try telling her something. Does not care about what specialists r doing. Makes me tear up everytime I have to see her.
