Dr. Ling-Lun Bob Hsia, MD

I was referred to this Dr Hsia to remove (excise) cancer from my neck area. While I was in the chair and had been prepped, he slipped in a "trainee" to do the surgery instead of doing it himself!! He did this WITHOUT asking for my permission!!!! If he would have asked, I would have refused him!!! I didn't drive over 2 hours one way to have a "trainee" remove my cancer. What made it worse was that he wasn't even in the room during the procedure to oversee and instruct!! This is unethical!!!! Nor did I see him the rest of the appointment!!! Where did he get to? A 1/2 inch round patch of skin cancer cells turned into a 2 3/4 inch scar on the front of my neck area!! I will be scarred for life!! I would STRONGLY suggest you go to another surgeon and NOT use this guy!! I couldn't be any more UNHAPPY with this experience!!!

Dr. Hsia is now at MUSC in South Carolina. While I was nervous about Mohs surgery on my face, he put me at ease and did a wonderful job. The cancer is gone and after three weeks there is almost no evidence of surgery.
