Dr. Lingappa Amarchand, MD

He was assigned to me as Internist by my Local Hospital, I DID NOT NEED A CARDIOLOGIST. He only asked 2 questions everyday. "How are you today?" & "Do you have any pain?" Knew nothing, never was able to answer any question except ask the Nurse . the Radiologist, or the Internal Med. Doctor. Can't ask the Radiologist as they don't ever see patients. Told him the nurses did not know how to Flush the Drain tubing to the remove Rotting Fluid BAG that I found out was never installed correctly by Surgical Radiology at Local Hospital going under Takeover my Massive Hospital System so the phones did not work. But he said the nurses all knew what they were doing. So why were they telling me it only takes one nurse to flush the drain, when it took up to 3 nurses to remove the male end of tubing from the female end of tubing. Stinking Fertilizer! The Hospital never put on the VALVE onto the tubing for the Drain (Which I was told WAS NOT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A SUCTION DRAIN (ANOTHER… LIE) which it was, so you could Flush the Tubing Correctly. This OLD MAN never looked at my wound or apparatus and would not have known if he did, as This OLD Man should be playing chess with other OLD MEN and not seeing Living People. Move to treating Corpses where you can't neglect them. I was trying to be NICE. Never again. Told him my Bed was broken, "No it is not!" Could not show me my procedure results from radiology and neither could the Nurses for weeks. When they did it was the size of a Postage Stamp and they could not explain it, there are the 2 paragraphs of what the Radiologist Said after 4 weeks. Worthless as a Hospital Fake Primary Care on a little Scooter. Never ever want to see this Polite, but KNOW NOTHING So Called Doctor. If you see him coming to see you, RUN for your Life IN ANOTHER DIRECTION, CALL YOUR PRIMARY CARE TO HAVE THEM ASSIGN Someone they Know and Trust to See You, IF they don't round at the Hospital. He claims all his patients LOVE HIM, LIAR Look at all his reviews, and see all the ONES (1's).

Amarchand was my relative's hospitalist at Oak Hill Hospital during summer 2020. From the start, he never cared about my relative’s well-being, was very unprofessional and disrespectful to patient and my family (i.e. 0 bedside manner), was offensive when we asked questions about patient’s care and discharge date and plan (he even barked at me one night when I was trying to get a hold hold of him: "What do you want? I'm on my lunch break.") (among so many other things). He rounded after his practice hours and it was hard to get in touch with. Moved patient to different floors without explaining rationale, including the "prison floor" which landed patient in the ICU and caused further distress. When we did see him, he would pop in and directly out. Took him hours to respond to requests, including getting patient something for pain, nausea, and getting his approval to have a Coke (etc.). Shame on Oak Hill for assigning a cardiologist to someone who did not present cardiology symptoms… and for a "medical professional" who cared so little for patient. Never would recommend him and suggest others stay far away.

I have had two encounters with this hospital. One, eleven years ago when we found our stepmother who was confused from a fall and surgery. She was tied to the bed and the staff had put her breakfast in front of her and out of her reach of her tied hands. Breakfast untouched and cold. That was neglect. Reported it at that time. Continued horrible treatment until we could get her out of there. The second encounter was a week ago today. My daughter went there very sick. She was treated as a drug addict from the minute she was admitted. She is NOT and has never been an IV drug user. The following day, my daughter was even sicker, in terrible pain. Dr. Amarchand came into my daughters room, did not introduce himself, walked up to her bed and asked my daughter in the rudest way if she was a drug addict. She said no and he said that she would have to see what’s the antibiotics would do. My daughter, sick and in pain asked him if she could have something for pain. He said “I don’t do… narcotics’ and walked out. We fired the doctor at 12:00 pm. Two more people walked into her room that afternoon and asked her if she was a drug addict. About 2pm a person came in and gave her a list of about 50 doctors. She was told she needed to call the doctors on the list to find a doctor who will accept her case. My daughter was laying there crying , in pain, nauseated. My daughter came to the hospital to get care. If her doctor does not provide care to her and is abusive, and neglectful, she had the right to fire him. The hospital should then provide her with another doctor. My sick daughter should not have to “shop” for a doctor. My daughter was also very nauseated upon arrival to the ER. She had requested something for the nausea in the ER, after she was admitted and all the next day. After almost 24 hours, she had no doctor, no relief from pain or nausea. We left AMA at 8pm. We drove to Trinity ER with my daughter in excruciating pain, vomiting and completely humiliated. Trinity ER staff and MD’s were amazing. They had nausea and pain under control before she was even admitted. She has been very sick for 7 days and still remains at the hospital being treated with dignity and compassion. Spring Hill hospital has a very bad reputation within the community, I know why. Patients pain is what the patient says it is. If pain medication is not working, then something else should be tried, not neglected. Nobody, especially a professional doctor should come in and treat a patient like that. If a doctor like Dr. Amarchand doesn’t have compassion and neglects to treat a patient, he should not be a doctor. I would not take my dog to be treated by him or Spring Hill hospital. By the way, the hospital was filthy and Privacy acts were not followed. We will be pursuing action against the doctor and hospital for inappropriate behavior and neglect of duties.

Left me lying in a bed at Oak Hill Hospital for over 18 hours while he refused to order my regular medications. After my blood pressure began rising, I left AMA to go home and take my meds. Find a different doctor, you can do way better.

I have nothing but good things to say about this man. He and his staff. He is professional, thorough, always takes time and listens to his patients. Explains everything so the patient understands. I love my Cardiologist and his staff.

Dr Amarchand is just in it for the money. I went into the hospital on Saturday and got released from his care (or lack thereof) on Wednesday. I was severely dehydrated and Dr Amarchand diagnosed me as having a heart condition and wanted to do stress tests and then wanted to do other tests related to my heart. I have a heart doctor and he said the tests that Dr Armachand were expensive and totally unnecessary. I requested and was granted immediate release from this doctors care. The reason I titled this Liar is because I had asked Dr Armachand to call my daughter, and he said he did 3 times. My daughters phone showed no incoming phone calls from him and he would not show me his call log on his phone to prove he called her.

Not recommended. Not board certified to perform pacemaker surgery. Installed pacemaker when not recurred. Became infected with psuedomones as result of his surgery. Pacemaker removed because of infection and no need for it.

Very disappointed with this Doctor. He would not take the time to explain something to me and was very rude and impatient when I asked questions. I had problems with the office staff processing paperwork to my insurance company and complained to him. He was very defensive and suggested I find another doctor. I did.

He was my second cardiologist and handle it I quest for his friend Dr Thomas who did my operation and put a stent in my main artery. I was please with both of them.
