Dr. Linsey Etherington, MD

My adult autistic son accompanied me to my consult with Etherington and when she walked out at the end of my appointment his immediate words were, "mom she was rude and she just didn't want to help you." Etherington said she wouldn't commit Medicare fraud to get my implants out which was NEVER mentioned. Odd. She said sarcastically, "sorry I can't tell you what you want to hear." Strange. When I checked in at the desk, the older blonde woman said, "are you really trying to get your insurance to pay for having your breast implants out?" Interesting, I was being accessed by the front office worker, so I guess I didn't need the consult with Etherington? When I left, I called the plastic surgeons office I worked for and told my friend who is a nurse what the woman said, my friend the nurse said, "oh my gosh, we would never say that to anyone at check in." It was unprofessional and rude but people's behavior typically mirrors the environment they work in. Etherington was rude but she's 40… dollars richer from my co-pay. We just laughed about it and my son called me doctor Etherington the entire way home. We thought it was funny. It's the new standard of care.......there isn't one.

Dr. Etherington has been great to work with. She is up on the newer techniques which greatly benefitted me as I navigate breast cancer, mastectomy and reconstruction. I was able to keep my own skin and nipples which has made me feel more like me. She is thoughtful and takes as much time with you as you need. Everything is explained to me and she has even e-mailed in the evenings if needed. People have told me it doesn't look like I've had a mastectomy.
