Dr. shamai saved my life!……at 3:30am one winter night in February, 2025, he got out of bed, rushed to St Mary’s hospital, diagnosed my symptoms, explained my condition and options for treatment. After my consent, I was rushed to surgery to expertly place stents. I received aftercare at the time and during the 16-month interval since that night. He is articulate and explains things clearly, welcomes questions, and involves the patient in decisions for future care and treatment. He discusses options for care and treatment on evidence-based research and experience. He is patient and friendly, skillful, and kind. His staff is also helpful, efficient, and responsive. I feel fortunate that he was the cardiologist on call on the night I arrived in the emergency room with acute coronary distress…….and, because of his quick skillful treatment i am alive to post this review. Dr Shami told me I had to have a procedure and there was nothing wrong with me. When he did the procedure, he caused a blood clot in my arm. It led me to have seven strokes, and I was in the hospital for six months. and I am disable for the rest of my life because of him! He’s the worst doctor ever! I wouldn’t recommend him for a dog, especially not in person. Please don’t go to him you will Never be the same!

Staff is rude and arrogant. I had severe side effects to a medication prescribed by Dr. Shamai, and neither he nor his staff would return phone calls from my nurse or myself. I ended up in physical therapy and permanently injured by Plavix. Inattentive, condescending and undertrained staff at every turn, and the office is cramped, dark and dirty. Dr. Shamai is a skilled doctor but the staff and environment are terrible.

Best cardiologist I've ever had. Nurses highly recommend him as he cares for family members, can't ask for a higher recommendation! Very up to date on diagnostics and procedures, great personality, runs on time too!
