Dr. Lisa Erin Cheek, MD

She was truly terrible. Dealing with her made both me and my family feel extremely uncomfortable. We all felt bullied and mistreated. When we requested a hospital transfer, she refused to cooperate and created obstacles—likely because such a transfer would negatively impact her in some way. I was shocked to see that her Google reviews are very positive, yet within the hospital’s feedback reviews, there are overwhelmingly negative reviews about her. As a patient, my experience with her was extremely negative. I also heard extremely negative feedback about them from my doula, who has supported many women through childbirth at various hospitals. For a long time after I was discharged, I felt deeply unwell. When I saw that others had shared similar feedback about her, I realized that this is a pattern of behavior. I feel that she doesn’t care her patients; she only cares whether she gets what she wants. She operates just within the boundaries of the rules, all while achieving her own… goals. She and her team act as one, ganging up on patients. You'll feel like a criminal, not a patient.

Dr. Cheek is a wonderful Dr. She cares about you, listens, personal, is honest, and the safety of you and your unborn child she takes very serious! I trust her completely! Her and her nurse are amazing! Will always choose SSM Health!

Refused to consider sterilization as an option even though I'm in my thirties and have two children in their teens. She said my weight was a risk factor and put me on pills that cause weight gain as a side effect. She talked down to me and cut me off whenever I tried to speak. I can't imagine anyone who isn't a masochist willingly going back to her.

Won’t go into full detail but unless you want to die(LITERALLY) don’t go to her! Worst obgyn I’ve ever had and I have 4 kids!

Beware of this doctor. She doesnt care about you or your baby unless you're having a super healthy pregnancy and your not a bother to her. I wont go into full detail just beware. Shes not compassionate at all either.

I absolutely love Dr. Cheek and recommend her to anyone I know who’s looking for a new OB. She’s so genuine and really listened to whatever concerns or questions I had. I really feel she cares about her patients, I couldn’t ask for a better doctor.

I don’t know what happened with those women down there but she’s amazing and interacted with many people throughout my pregnancy without rubbing anyone the wrong way. I love her! Very profession and content to answer all my ridiculous pregnancy questions

Dr. Cheek has was my OB throughout my pregnancy and she was beyond amazing!!

Dr. Cheek is the best! She is kind, caring and listens to you! You do not feel rushed and feel that she and her staff are there to help you. I ended up having surgery and she walked next to my bed being wheeled to the OR suite, talking with me and went the extra step to make me feel comfortable. Her office is clean, uncluttered and busy!! That says a lot! Would definitely recommend!

I have never regretted my experience with her since I have been seeing her for the past 7 mnts of my pregnancy. She listens, asks if I have any questions and sends me to the right direction even for things outside her scope of practice. Thanks for all you do
