Dr. Lisa Weiner Gilbert, MD

I would Not recommend this doctor. From taking a year to realize my condition was athletes foot not eczema, and refusing to give my aunt a referral for an x ray because she didnt think her foot was broken when it was, too telling me several times that I am too young to be in this much pain, and ten years later claiming she never said that, she is now refusing to send me to a specialist. I am in extreme pain and she will not help me. Finally realizing its her and not me and finding someone willing to help me figure out what is wrong and get it fixed!

I love Dr. Gilbert. I have been going to her for about 15 years. She has always been incredible at taking care of me and my family - my husband, my daughter and my son and his wife.

I would not recommend this office. Back in 2010 I had an ovary removed and had so many complications. For many years this doctor was aware the heavy periods and never referred me to a ob-gyn to research. Then when I was beyond hemoraging they found a cyst on my left ovary. The surgeon who I was referred to was a butcher. When I was experiencing complication Lisa's office lost my urine sample and could not verify the results.

I thought she seemed technically proficient and made some good clinical suggestions. Her demeanor, however, struck me as cool and professionally distant. I finally decided to change doctors after experiencing side effects for a medication she prescribed were unacceptable to me and yet she continued to stand steadfastly by her solution in spite of the negative impacts and seemed to brush off my concerns and discomfort. Seemed like a textbook type of physician who I began to wonder if she would be better off as a researcher working in a laboratory rather than with human beings?

Dr. Gilbert is not somebody you want as your primary care doctor. I had her most recently she misdiagnosed my back injury requiring urgent back surgery at another hospital. She never sent me to a neurosurgeon. She sent me to a pain clinic, physical therapy etc. She never believed me that I was in so much pain. As a result of her misdiagnosis over the year I now have permanent bowel and bladder issue documented by a neurosurgeon. I plan on suing her and can't wait to because I have suffered so much from what she put me through. She has no bedside manner, doesn't believe you, is not educated in primary care and has no clue as to what she is talking about. If you pick her as a primary care doctor you may as well ask to die because she is that bad. She gives doctors a bad name in my opionion. I am now incontinent of bowel and there is nothing any neurologist can do because she sat on me and told me I didn't need surgery for my problem. I am young with a family and this is where I… am all for medical malpractice. She better have some good insurance because I am coming for her!

I found this doctor to be cold and unfriendly and had no empathy. She seemed aloof and not very into her job.

Dr. Gilbert failed to diagnose a rotator cuff injury. An outside trainer caught it 4 months later. Hip injury was not addressed. A serious infection was left to a Nurse Practitioner. I never received any follow-up for any of the above. Perhaps she is too busy?

Dr. Gilbert is a primary example of an outstanding doctor. Some other doctors I've dealt with are pompous and arrogant. You will not get that with Dr. Gilbert though who is humble, compassionate, intelligent, and most importantly truly cares. She is a shining star..... You're lucky to have her if you do already. She is an inspiration and gives hope where none may have existed previously.

Dr Gilbert is very thorough in her exams and spends as much time as I ask for with me. I have never been rushed and thankfully there has never been a serious medical issue. When specific issues arise that need a specialist, I am referred and after 4 years with Dr. Gilbert, I am VERY pleased with being one of her patients. The only issue I have is that appts for annual physicals are usually require 3 or 4 month planning and requires me to see the Nurse practitioner if I don't schedule early enough.

She was late in seeing me when she finally graced me with her presence she rushed through me saying she had to get to her next patient and that I should make a follow up visit. Funny I was on time yet I was rushed I guess I was not as important as the person after me.
